Bringing Real Sand on Ship

Recommended Posts

So I made these cite centerpieces for the dinner tables, but they involve sand from the beach. But my mom just asked, is that actually allowed. Has anyone ever brought sand on ship...regardless of why?

Not sure what cruise line... but in my Carnival documents it speaks to a "sand ceremony" for the wedding and indicates that you must bring your own sand and containers. So I'm "guessing" sand is ok to bring on board.
