T C 2 Posted December 13, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2005 WE are sailing on Christmas eve on the Inspiration, this will be a first time "holiday" cruise for all in our group (4). Can someone please help? This will be a first time cruise for 2 and a second cruise for the other 2. How do you know when it's formal night?, or when it's the welcome aboard cocktail party?, or when it's the captain's dinner?, or if there are any "special events" for Christmas. I know that each day they put a paper in the cabin with what's going to take place the next day. But we are trying to figure out how to pack. Thanks for all help
reverie04 Posted December 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2005 I know that most of the time formals are your at sea days. Also, check cruiseclues.com for some of the itnerary plans. You can find out a lot of info from that asite!
beth4652 Posted December 13, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 13, 2005 My understanding is that Christmas Day will be formal. Christmas Eve will also be dressy for most folks, but not advertised as formal. Since you don't say how many nights you're cruising, it's hard to know the rest of it. Go to the Roll Call Forum for your cruise. I'm sure you'll find your answers there.
manitoba girl Posted December 13, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 13, 2005 If I'm not mistaken it should also say on the top of the menu outside the dining room door what the dress of the day is.Correct me if I'm wrong please!
Hot Hockett Posted December 14, 2005 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2005 if its a 7 day, its 2 formal nights. On a 5 day its usually only one. If you think there will only be one and there happens to be 2, its not like anyone will kill you for wearing something twice
