So excited that we are boarding the Eclipse tomorrow!!!

Have been diligently following Chicago Paul's thread and I'm so stoked for our cruise! I will try to post menus and updates as we go along to supplement Paul's recent postings. We are not in a suite so most dining room will be MDR and a 4 night specialty dining package purchase. My plan is to mostly dine-in Murano but will also try Tuscan Grille. I'm also looking forward to trying Sushi on 5.

We are from San Diego. Flew to Miami today and Uber to hotel. Pretty uneventful flight other than waking a 4 am! Time change kills me! While had idea to explore Little Havana tonight, we're tired from flight and had dinner at a close by restaurant Catch of the day. Turned out to be an excellent meal. Steamer clams and whole fried red snapper. Fun atmosphere and good start to our vacation.

Hotel has free shuttle to port tomorrow. Can't wait. Will meet our friends from San Diego on board. Can't wait.

My dw and I are almost ready to leave Detroit and the snow to fly into Miami by 9:30am and join you for a nice relaxing 11day vacation. First time on Eclipse. We’ve been on Reflection a couple times and have yet to try specialty dining so we’re hoping to get a discount in the next couple days to see if it’s worth the price. It was so fun following along with Chicago Paul the last couple weeks knowing we were going to follow them on the next cruise.

Enjoy your cruise! Edward and I will be following along to help ease us off of cruising. Take good care of her and say hello for me. I hope you have as wonderful a cruise as I did!

Looking forward to meeting you on board. It is our 1st time on Eclipse. We have been on Reflection and the Connie and enjoyed both immensely. This is only our 3rd Celebrity cruise but we have cruise more than 20 times. Last year on Oceania in the Mediterranean. I'm looking forward to this itinerary as most of the islands will be new to us.

We will be thinking about our friends and family in Southern California with the wildfires going on. Hopefully the firefighters are getting a good hand on containment and the weather cooperates.

Up early (for West coast time) and I'm shocked the temperature says 50F. Yikes! I'm not extacly prepared for that cold. Hopefully the sun warms things up quickly.

Tom had trouble sleeping so he studied the deck plans all night..lol. He woke me up telling me where cellar masters is located as we are wine lovers!

Thanks all for your Bon Voyages!

Kristine and Thomas

Bon Voyage

Liking the island temps! Just took a walk and it is chilly!! In the sun not bad but when the wind blows...brrr....

On the ship and just completed muster drill. Sail away soon.

Ship looks fantastic. Nicely decorated for Christmas.

Have made friends with the sommelier at Cellars Masters. Turns out she is a native of Ensenada Baja MX! Close to San Diego.

Had a turkey burger at Master Grill. Pretty good and cooked to order. Took about 10 minutes.

(If you get a chance please ask Toni at the World Class how long he'll be on board.

You can tell him Allan and Karen from last February will be back again this February and look forward to seeing him again.)

We will be boarding Eclipse after you on the 21st. I've been enjoying Chicago Paul's review and now I have another review to get me through the next 1.5 weeks til boarding.

Enjoy your cruise and thanks for taking the time for a review.

Yes, thank goodness we weren’t flying today - our local airport was closed due to snow .

 Grateful for you as well and good thing your flying in early too. The weather has been horrible all over. We had at least 4 inches of snow in Atlanta and it doesn't snow here that often. Can't wait to get out those warm weather clothes. Oh wait, they're all out just not packed yet :p. See you soon.

Ate in the main dining room last night with select dining. Hopefully the menu photo posted?

Had a delicious shrimp cocktail to start in a proper vessel. Wild mushroom soup that was good but not great. The salmon which was very tasty. Tom had the escargot and prime rib and declared them delicious. He had creme brule for dessert. Very good. I was disappointed in my blueberry banana crepe. Our waiter Orville was a crack up. Took hour and half to eat. We arrived around 8pm.

After dinner went looking for some music but not overly impressed with what we heard. So headed to casino bar where NFL was on (how do the East Coast people actually stay up late to watch NFL I don't understand). Determined best viewing for the football game is in the casino bar as they have four very nice screens. we had earlier in the day watched some games at the passport bar that has comfortable chairs but only two screens and the viewing wasn't as good. Did chat with some interesting people from Pensacola and Denver.

Hubby won a few bucks at black jack to top off a good start to our 1st day!
