thinfool Posted December 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2017 full transit - Then I would say that you should expect the possibility of cool temps north of Cabo San Lucas. While HAL ends your trip in San Diego (I think), Southern California in February is not particularly warm. Highs in the 60s (maybe 70), lows in the 50s. Think snow skiing in the mountains surrounding LA. Still, it will not be like winter in Ohio.
Homosassa Posted December 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 11, 2017 And south Florida can also be cool. Today Miami is highs in the 60s, lows in the 40s.
OCruisers Posted December 11, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 11, 2017 Once in the Panamal Canal, it'll be VERY warm ... but the a/c on the ship can be chilly so do take some sort of wrap.
Krazy Kruizers Posted December 11, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 11, 2017 I see that you will be on the Westerdam going from Ft Lauderdale to San Diego. We have been in Ft Lauderdale quite a few times in February and it can be quite chilly. We have also been in San Diego in February and it was chilly. Since you will need coats leaving Ohio and getting to Ohio -- take layered jackets. That is what we do. A zippered jacket is great. When you sail out of Ft Lauderdale you may even find that HMC will also be chilly -- especially the water. Once you start to approach Cabo San Lucas, chilly weather will set in again. The Westerdam does have some COLD areas on her.
TAD2005 Posted December 11, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 11, 2017 I wish one of the cool area on the Westerdam was around table 22 in the upper level of the MDR. It was very warm and stuffy back in the aft port side of the MDR, Even the waiters agreed it was warm. On Gala nights, many guys took their jackets off after sitting down.
