Speed. Surf is around 0.5Mbs, Stream is around 5Mbs.

 

 

If you want to stream videos, you will have better luck with the faster service.

I would reply to these bandwidth numbers .. our cruise last week, we had the Stream package ..

 

On the first day or so, being the network guy I am, I ran speed tests and got about 3 megs down, 1 up.

 

On days 3-4-5, the speed was down to about 150k, with it being a little higher in the morning. Clearly, as people added more and more devices to the network, the speeds plummeted.

 

That being said, my kids were able to watch Youtube videos as they downgrade and buffer.

 

In short, it was bad, but usually doable. There were plenty of times it was unusable, though.

This was on Harmony last June. Stream is solid all day and never had a slow down.

A bit of research led me to believe the poster sailed on Navigator. The poster was saying that the service slowed later in the cruise - to which you mentioned that on Harmony it didn't. I offered a potential explanation of why that is.
