Week in London....torn between 2 hotels

Recommended Posts

I'm taking my second trip to London this upcoming Summer and am trying to pick a hotel. Can anyone help?

There will be three adults in one room - which limits which hotels we can stay at and I'll be using IHG rewards to pay for the room - hence why the hotels we're narrowed down to are Holiday Inn brand.

The first one we're considering is Holiday Inn Bloomsbury. It's appealing because it's so close to the tube station and we could walk to St. Pancras (we are taking a day trip that we will have to meet at St. Pancras at 6:15 AM. Downside is there's no breakfast and the rating is a 4.0 (still good....)

The second we're considering is Holiday Inn Express Southwark. I've stayed at this one before and liked it. It's not in the heart of everything, but the tube station is a short walk away. It does include breakfast and is recently renovated and has a score of 4.5.

Can anyone share any insight or suggestions as to which one to pick? And why?

Thanks for your help!

It all depends what you want to see and do whilst in London. I’d pick Bloomsbury for its location, there’s so many cafes around for breakfast.
