And some more shots and a vid of the bow (made in Poland) before the total tow left for Meyer Werft:

What's the benefit of constructing these two pieces at another location rather than on site with the majority of the rest of the ship?

Production pace, Meyer Werft's capacity is constantly challenged on a relative small acreage. Meyer optimized their building process with German efficiency the last few years and is delivering ships at an all time record.

With  a lot of subcontractors, from the hotel ware, lifeboats, complete staterooms and up to the deck which all have to come in at the right time and place.

The ship is built like a Lego ship; structural construction happens in an adjacent hall and next to the ship and with those blocks being hosted on to the megablock and to be ship.

So it's either less time consuming to bring the bow in as prefab or there is a specialism involved like for example the winches which hold the mooring lines or some winch and anchor equipment perhaps. The engine room compartment and the bow are the largest blocks that come off site as far as I know.

The watertight doors and the tender platforms are also prefab and pop up already painted in the photos while the whole hull is still in primer or vice versa, they will look like they're welded in to place a few minutes ago before the ships get their final layer of painting, it's a good tell tale of the off site production going on. 🙂

I have circled in Blue what we are seeing on the sister ship (this case the Bliss) from Doug's Meyer Werft photo.

Apologies if this has been kicked around, I haven’t read every post, but is there speculation about go-karts? Would love to see Anything But That on Encore.

The deck plans for Bliss and Encore on Deck 18 and 19 look the exact same except for the "features" not being shown on Encore.  I'd be willing to bet Encore does get a race track as well.
