Sue.L Posted February 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2018 Anyone able to help with adapters needed for sockets on Majestic please ? Are there USB ports ? Wondering because ship is being heralded as 'especially adapted for Asian market' Thanks. We are on the Majestic next week. I did read on another post that there are USB ports in the bedside lamps, and that the sockets are American. But I can't confirm that until next week! pablo222 Posted February 17, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 17, 2018 Wondering because ship is being heralded as 'especially adapted for Asian market' That was then. Now, it needs 'australian' sockets.
Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted February 17, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 17, 2018 That was then. Now, it needs 'australian' sockets. Look at the pics above of all the sockets. There is an Australian socket there, it's just upside down.

Is that like a magnetic compass? It has to be manufactured differently for use in the southern hemisphere...

cubfan63 Posted February 19, 2018 #13 Share Posted February 19, 2018 I was on the Majestic Princess in April 2017 and there was definitely USB ports, as shown in the picture, by the nightstands/beds. To see more of the Majestic Princess and my trip, I have videos can view.

Probably because not everyone has equipment that would work on both 220V and 110V. I have used universal sockets overseas, but have never plugged in a device that would only work on 110V. satxdiver Posted October 9, 2019 #16 Share Posted October 9, 2019 Most modern electronic devices are now built to use either 110 or 220 volt service. A few require moving a switch on the device but now days even that is going away. Check your device specifications first as always.

Some curling irons, blow dryers, etc. work with dual voltage but others don't so that's a place to be very sure before plugging into the socket.
