Denali2003 Posted February 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2018 Does Princess still do "arts & crafts" on their ships? In the past they had card making and ceramics.
Nebr.cruiser Posted February 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2018 There were some crafts listed in the Patters on our recent Princess cruise. I didn't pay much attention as I'm not crafty, so I can't remember what they were. Maybe just on sea days?
FunTimeIsSunTime Posted February 21, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2018 In January on the Ruby they had a few different offerings including paper flowers, origami, and a water painting class. Both sea days and port days. Of those I listed only the water painting class had an additional fee. There may have been more but that is what I remember.
voljeep Posted February 21, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2018 how far in the past were the ceramics?

kendon Posted February 21, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 21, 2018 Does Princess still do "arts & crafts" on their ships? In the past they had card making and ceramics. I remember that! Often enough, the person in charge was a crew member who wasn't prepared...or didn't show up. I went to a couple of them, one being photography. Another was needlepoint making a bookmark. Sadly, a failed experiment. Many cruises will have needlework/knitting groups gathering informally on sea days. Check the patter.
seamwoman Posted February 22, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 22, 2018 If you enjoy needle crafts bring your own project to work on. Karen
JF - retired RRT Posted February 22, 2018 #10 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Lots of craft things (free & fee) on the Hawaii cruises.
Denali2003 Posted February 22, 2018 Author #11 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Thank you. Glad to hear they still have some crafts on their sailings. I am a crafts person, although not knitting or crochet. Ceramics was back in 2012. There were quite a few sea days. Also in 2012 was a card making session. I know on the Hawaii cruises there is a Lei making class and you can take Ukulele lessons.
OCruisers Posted February 22, 2018 #12 Share Posted February 22, 2018 "Knitters & Knatters" Get-Together (unhosted) Bring your own projects, share Ideas and meet new friends ... was frequently listed in Patter.

I'd like to hear more. We're going to Hawaii and with so many sea days I don't want my butt going flat from just reading all day. :D
geoherb Posted March 4, 2018 #14 Share Posted March 4, 2018 It's been several years since I've seen Princess offer ceramics at sea. As someone who has a kiln, I can't imagine loading one to withstand possible rough seas.
