salty dingo Posted March 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2018 If someone who has a Carnival cruise booked wants to see if the booking was made with Early Saver, how can they tell? I have reviewed my cruise docs and the current booking online, but I don't see Early Saver anywhere. Anyone know?
joepeka Posted March 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2018 (edited) It's interesting, someone posted this very question two days ago and received zero responses. Our most recent booking was ES (the first we had ever booked ES) and nowhere does it indicate what fare class we booked. I guess you would need to ask the person(s) you booked with what your fare class is unless you booked online direct with CCL then I guess it's a call to their guest services?? Edited March 10, 2018 by joepeka
salty dingo Posted March 10, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted March 10, 2018 Thanks for the response, Joe. I will just submit the price protection form and let Carnival tell me. I hope it was ES since the fare is currently over $100 pp less than I paid, booking direct with Carnival. I just can't recall since it was booked months ago. When they told me I didn't qualify, I stopped looking. :loudcry::loudcry::loudcry:
Herbaltees Posted March 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 10, 2018 If someone who has a Carnival cruise booked wants to see if the booking was made with Early Saver, how can they tell? I have reviewed my cruise docs and the current booking online, but I don't see Early Saver anywhere. Anyone know? It’s listed on the cabin confirmation email. There will be a note saying at the bottom of the page indicating you are booked under early saver. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
salty dingo Posted March 14, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted March 14, 2018 I figured out a way, by accident. I was looking at the standard cancellation terms, and for our 7 day cruise, there is no penalty over 75 days out, except for the saver fares. At the bottom of the cruise details page is a link "Is there a penalty for cancelling this booking?" I previously ignored it because I thought it would just point me to the cancellation policy. Nope! It pops up a box showing the exact amount of your penalty at the moment. For ours, it showed $250... but we are over 150 days out. That is proof we booked a saver rate! salty dingo Posted March 15, 2018 Author #9 Share Posted March 15, 2018 Last item of last page of booking confirmation. Under Guest Notes. I have been all over my booking on Carnival's website and don't see that. Are you referring to an email?
bury me at sea Posted March 15, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 15, 2018 I have been all over my booking on Carnival's website and don't see that. Are you referring to an email? The printed booking confirmation, titled Guest Confirmation. I get one from my TA, but it's clearly a Carnival form that he prints and gives to me. salty dingo Posted March 15, 2018 Author #11 Share Posted March 15, 2018 The printed booking confirmation, titled Guest Confirmation. I get one from my TA, but it's clearly a Carnival form that he prints and gives to me. Well, that's what I get for booking directly with Carnival. I did not get anything like that. It is pathetic that the online booking info does not show the information. However, my cancellation penalty trick will tell the tale.
EllaDuChien Posted March 15, 2018 #12 Share Posted March 15, 2018 Well, that's what I get for booking directly with Carnival. I did not get anything like that. It is pathetic that the online booking info does not show the information. However, my cancellation penalty trick will tell the tale. I always get the confirmation email when I book directly with Carnival and at the bottom of the email showing ES: GUEST NOTES 1) This is confirmation that a payment was posted associated with your booking.2) Your booking has been linked with the following reservations for dining 3) Early Saver terms & conditions (T&C) apply. Non-refundable deposit amounts: 2-9 day: $99pp. 10+ day/Alaska/Vista/Horizon Caribbean sailings: $149pp. $50pp fee assessed for ship/sail date changes made prior to final payment date. Cancellations prior to final payment date receive future cruise credit for deposit amount less $50pp fee. FCC issued in USD & must be used within 24 months of cancel date. May reprice booking if lower cruise rate offered to general public is available based on total cabin occupancy & not from booked ancillary services or group rates. Guest assumes T&C of new promotion & may forfeit features associated with original fare (cabin assignment, OBC, upgrades, & special deposit/payment terms). Verified rate difference issued as non-refundable OBC. Applicable on select sailings through 4/30/20. Sale ends 2/16/18. Cabins that I book under a different rate, have a different note, but all make note of what type of rate I booked under and all come from Carnival directly. salty dingo Posted March 15, 2018 Author #13 Share Posted March 15, 2018 I always get the confirmation email when I book directly with Carnival and at the bottom of the email showing ES I can't say for sure I didn't get an email like that, all I can say is I don't have it now ;). For those who need a replacement there should be a way to see it online.

You are not wrong!! ;) ;p;p I actually have a similar issue with a different rate...I booked under a casino rate, but I have no idea which one so I don't know which benefits to expect. I was advised to call my PVP and ask if she could see the rate code. That might be an option for you as well? I did not book the cruise through a PVP, but directly online with Carnival, but apparently they can see the original booking offer code so that might be one way to find out although online would be way easier! salty dingo Posted March 15, 2018 Author #15 Share Posted March 15, 2018 I will have to call those rascals at Carnival. Cruise fare dropped, I filled out the price protection form, and never heard back. I thought it may be because I was not Early Saver, but according to the cancellation policy, I am. Look at your email from "CabinConfirmations" I also book directly with Carnival and keep all my emails. (I actually have two from 2008!) Then in between the navy blue lines your names (headers are name, VIFP level, Notes) - notes are the last one. I have a 1 for my May cruise. Then at the bottom under navy border with pics is a red IMPORTANT NOTES. Under that Guest Notes. I've had Notes, 1, 2, 3 (3 is the most notes I've had. Usually 2 (listed 1, 2) GUEST NOTES 1) Early Saver
