excitedofharpenden #1 Posted March 24, 2018 (edited) I've heard from a friend who is currently on Journey that they are due to cross the equator later. I know in the past Captain Johannes has circled two or three times so as to cross the equator more than once. Apparently Journey will try for a world record (no idea if there is one) of 21 times in 30 minutes today. Once for each guest nationality onboard and an extra one for the crew. Phil Edited March 24, 2018 by excitedofharpenden

excitedofharpenden #4 Posted March 24, 2018 Pictures here: That’s the ceremony which took place before the manoeuvres. They do this on each sailing that crosses the equator. Phil

uktog #6 Posted March 24, 2018 Pictures here: That’s pics of asking permission from King Neptune to cross. Crossing will be some point after then unless someone didn’t kiss the fish ...... It’s a lot of fun Sent from my iPhone using Forums
excitedofharpenden #7 Posted March 24, 2018 Captain Johannes is such a special man. Thank you for sharing Phil. :D I tried to pick Journey up on MarineTraffic so I could see them doing it, but unfortunately it’s not transmitting. Johannes is usually pretty handy with his camera phone and might have snapped some shots of the ship instruments. I’m afraid I’m a bit of an anorak with these sort of things!:o Phil

MMDown Under #9 Posted March 25, 2018 I have never cared who the Captain of a ship was (on the belief he must be qualified and experienced) until I met Captain Johannes!
