APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #151 Share Posted March 29, 2018 No such luck :( The long-range forecast for next week includes...snow :eek::eek: Let's hope the meteorologists are wrong... Oh no! I told you that you need to move to Florida! I know of a certain cruiseline that could use your expertise ;p
APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #152 Share Posted March 29, 2018 NP! That door is supposed to be closed and locked but at times if there are too few ppl there they open the door to let a few in. One TA cruise we got passes for the Posh Club and we spent a lot of time there. Great review and superb photos. Brought back memories of our 3 cruises with Epic (total 44 days, and two were B2B). Since the Breakaway class ships came out we haven't fully decided whether or not to return to the Epic because, although Epic has much better dining venues (for their location, size and ambience, and also Garden Café) than other ships, she lacked several things that are on other ships (e.g. waterfront, observation lounge, aft outdoors). BUT there is one Epic TA itinerary for fall 2019 that we are interested in!! We'll see! Again, great review and photos!!! ENJOY the remainder of the cruise! I agree! We liked Escape better, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun and relaxation we had on Epic... Some day we woikd love to do a TA.
APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #153 Share Posted March 29, 2018 APDMOM,Great review and even greater (if possible)photos. Can I ask you to take a picture from the pool deck looking at the two elevator towers, going up to deck 18. I can't get my head around what they may look like from the cabins they are somewhat in front of. I think they are H2 cabins but it looks like theses cabins would have an obstructed view . Any help or photos would be very much appreciated. Hi, Desert_ Dweller! Sadly, this is a “hindsight” review from last week’s cruise. In reality, my day consisted of a 10-hour work day, cooking, laundry, and Spanish class. Maybe someone reading this review, and boarding on Saturday could take a picture for you... hint to all of you in the final countdown. bluesea777 Posted March 29, 2018 #155 Share Posted March 29, 2018 I agree! We liked Escape better, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun and relaxation we had on Epic... Some day we woikd love to do a TA. I need to ask ... Le Bistro ... which do you like better on Epic or on Escape? We hated Le Bistro on the Aways and Escape for its size, windowless AND location!! The Bliss will have Le Bistro on Deck 17 portside aft in place of Entrouge lounge on the 3 other ships.
APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #156 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Let’s follow tradition and tour the ship during sunrise… Spice H20: Note the Spice H20 pool capacity: A “crowd” of 16! Not even our small meet and greet group could fit that! For those who are new to this area, it is for adults only during daytime hours.

APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #158 Share Posted March 29, 2018 On deck 14 aft, you will find the spa and the fitness center. Mandara Spa: Price list (Acupuncture is $169 per 50 minutes - it got cut off in the scan):

APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #160 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Fitness Center continued: It is too bad they only open at 6. If they had opened at 5, I would have been there, Nike’s and all… maybe!

APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #162 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Garden Café: This is the first time we cruised on a ship with a forward facing buffet restaurant. We got the really delicious soft serve ice cream here, but never ate a meal here. We will have to book another cruise!
APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #163 Share Posted March 29, 2018 I like the wall art outside the Garden Café: This is also where you can find the names and faces of your cruise staff:

mkmaj Posted March 29, 2018 #165 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Fees for classes offered: Wow... I like those particular classes, but from what I read they are subpar and way more than I pay at home. (Bushwackers, take me away 😂)
APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #166 Share Posted March 29, 2018 I love it when I see my future ships in port… We will be on Harmony in November. I think I can see my balcony!
APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #167 Share Posted March 29, 2018 This was our first visit to Punta Langosta. We have only been to Cozumel with Royal Caribbean or Carnival, so this was a new experience to us. We LOVED it. I could not believe how different it felt to be in this area of Cozumel. We also had a blast, because our whole family has been studying Spanish since July 2017, and we stuttered around in our broken, beginner Spanish. The locals loved it and were all too helpful! I wish we could have stayed a few days! Punta Langosta: When the selfie camera timer is faster than the family: [emoji23]
APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #168 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Beautiful views of the not-so-beastly-anymore ship:
APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #169 Share Posted March 29, 2018 We walked down this alley near the main shopping area, and I bought a “Tortuga” (turtle necklace). The alley had this nice looking swim up bar: Fun finds in Punta Langosta:
APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #170 Share Posted March 29, 2018 We did not do any excursions, but I definitely plan on doing Trikes of Cozumel the next time we visit. We did this tour in Aruba and it is the most fun we had on any excursion. We were not sure about the safety in Cozumel for such a tour, but we felt totally safe in this area and feel confident we can do the Trikes next time. I will have to book another cruise! A few more views from the ship:
APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #171 Share Posted March 29, 2018 DH and I had a date night at Taste, and I forgot to take food pictures. I was enjoying the sunset view from our table: The menu: I had the vegetable cream soup and turkey. Both were very good! DH had the Corvina, and it was excellent. We skipped this dessert in order to pick up crêpes from Great Outdoors. By the way, the menu is always posted by the entrance to Taste. So, if you want to take a sneak peek to see if you want to eat dinner here, just stop by sometime during the day. Lunch is served in Taste on sea days, so that dinner menu will only be posted after lunch.

APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #174 Share Posted March 29, 2018 I need to ask ... Le Bistro ... which do you like better on Epic or on Escape? We hated Le Bistro on the Aways and Escape for its size, windowless AND location!! The Bliss will have Le Bistro on Deck 17 portside aft in place of Entrouge lounge on the 3 other ships. We did not eat in any specialty restaurants on either ship. It is not in our current cruise budget, as we save pennies to cruise more. However, I do love the restaurants with many ocean views! APDMOM Posted March 29, 2018 Author #175 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Wow... I like those particular classes, but from what I read they are subpar and way more than I pay at home.
