I am a big college basketball fan and would love to watch the championship game while we are on Breeze sailing next week. Will they show it on the big screen??? Also, it is on TBS, so is that channel available on Carnival? I know I have seen big games before on Princess and RCCL, but this is our first full week cruise on Carnival. Any insight is much appreciated.

Can’t answer the big screen question. I know they do that for the super bowl and I’ve seen them do it for Monday night football when the saints were on sailing out of New Orleans. But yeah TBS is one of the channels you can still get in the room even. It’s a bootleg version with shows that have 1 commercial break for a 30 min program..and the commercials are in spanish. Then late at night sometimes you’d see actual spanish programming. I’d imagine you’ll get the game though. If not on the big screen the casino bar and red frog pub would be good places to watch.

On Conquest in January, the college football championship between Alabama and Georgia was shown on the "big screen". It was fun. They rearranged the movie schedule so they could show it. At times the screen glitched some but it was still awesome to get to watch it at sea.

We've cruised during the Final Four many times. On ships with a big screen, it was always played on the big screen. For all of us sports fans, it's a fun experience. When we sailed on a ship without the big screen, they played the Final Four on a screen in the comedy club and had a large crowd.

If we are talking basketball, its the "1 and done" rule....NFL is 3 yrs....Being fair, outside of a place kicker or punter, no 18 yr old physically will even get looked at by an NFL team, so lets agree on that....Your argument is better suited to basketball because there is a history of HS kids going into the NBA. So a really good HS basketball player is going to a Duke or Kentucky (just using those 2 schools but there are numerous others)....They are going to get free room/board/education for that year. More importantly, since their goal is going to be the NBA, they will be getting coached from the best college BB coaches and getting huge exposure on TV....how is that "Slavery"? Now, if your argument is that these kids shouldnt have to go to school for that year, ok....That is an NBA rule, not a college rule. Your issue should be with the NBA rule, not the colleges

My issue is with the system, which include the NCAA and NBA. I'm happy about what the Ball family is doing by just going overseas to play. It seems like Gelo is going to get drafted. I don't think he would have if he'd stayed at UCLA.
