nanface Posted July 2, 2018 #76 Share Posted July 2, 2018 Do any of you book more than one excursion a day if they are relatively short and have at least an hour between? Obviously this would not pertain to VO ports where there is a long distance between the port and the town.

I booked pulpit rock in Stavenger and had time to enjoy the last included tour too.. friends of ours booked a morning optional and had time to do the included excursion too in Bergen
Parsley Cruises Posted July 2, 2018 #78 Share Posted July 2, 2018 We have thought about doing this, BUT we were in Copenhagen on a cruise once, and we were ok, but one couple went into town on the shuttle bus in the morning and needed to return to the ship to join a (paid for) excursion in the afternoon. There was a complete and utter mess-up with the shuttle buses, and this other couple made it back to the ship just in time to join the excursion, but had no time for even a snack lunch. This cruise wasn't Viking.
deec Posted July 2, 2018 #79 Share Posted July 2, 2018 It was occasionally possible to do both the included and an optional excursion in one day.
Twitchly Posted July 3, 2018 #80 Share Posted July 3, 2018 We booked two optional tours in one day in Bergen (the family farm and Grieg’s house). We had time for a quick lunch in between.
