springs741 Posted April 7, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2018 Fall Ultras traditionally come out the last week of May. At least that has been my experience for the last 3 years.

vp1 Posted April 9, 2018 #12 Share Posted April 9, 2018 Anyone? People who have reached a certain minimum level of play in the casino are offered the opportunity to go on a "Premier" cruise - a number of these are offered throughout the year from various ports. Each "Premier" guest gets to bring one other guest; the fares are generally lower than a standard cruise fare - though in my opinion they used to be MUCH lower (I did go on some that cost just port fees and taxes). Also, typically the Premier guests will receive some amount of cash at the casino cage - probably in the range of several hundred dollars, though it may vary depending upon the past level of play and the rate that was paid for the cabin. Also, there will be a drinks & hors d'oeuvres reception the first night of the cruise, some type of gift in the cabin daily and drawings / giveaways in the casino multiple times a day throughout the cruise (plus free drinks for the premier player and guest in the casino throughout the cruise). Some people, including some gamblers, have tried to avoid these cruises as the casino can be very busy for the duration of the cruise. If you reach a minimum level of play on a premier cruise, you may be invited to an Elite cruise (same general deal - better swag and prizes) and there are even a few Ultra cruises throughout they year for those whose play reaches the next plateau. Hope that helps. ~Bob

nireg Posted May 30, 2018 Author #14 Share Posted May 30, 2018 Yes we did an Ultra on the Vista last year. How was the Ultra different from the Premier? Just got an offer. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Forums
ParrotRob Posted May 30, 2018 #15 Share Posted May 30, 2018 What is this Ultra Premiere all about? If you spend like $50,000 in the casino they'll reward you with a $1000 cruise, lol.
Happicruzrr Posted May 30, 2018 #16 Share Posted May 30, 2018 My wife and I received our Ultra offers on Monday. Yes the Horizon has a few dates, as does the Vista.
cruisemein Posted May 30, 2018 #17 Share Posted May 30, 2018 Received an email this morning for the Ultra cruises stating I could start reserving later this evening. No free room, just $525 off a room per person. Still receive all the perks, but the lowest cost of an interior room was around $800 pp so even with the $525 off, not that great of an offer especially if you want to upgrade. Wife has been wanting to try other cruise lines, but have been reluctant due to the fact our last 4 cruises have been a free room, DOU cards, etc.
StevenLucia Posted May 30, 2018 #18 Share Posted May 30, 2018 Received our mailer yesterday. There are 8 Ultra cruises: 1 in late Oct, 6 in November and one in mid-December. Ships include the Glory, Magic, Breeze, Vista and Horizon. The P3L rate codes were to be made available late tonight/early tomorrow. Current VIFP rates (as an example) Category 4F Interior on Lido is ranging from $1182 to $2000. One of the Ultra cruises is a 14 day trip out of Port Canaveral on November 3rd on the Breeze. Scurvy Seadog Posted May 30, 2018 #19 Share Posted May 30, 2018 (edited) Just booked the 14 day Ultra Cruise on the Breeze out of Port Canaveral on November 3rd. My offer was for a free Deluxe Ocean View stateroom with $200 OBC and $500 cash from the casino. Total cost ended up being $343. Booking that same cruise without the Ultra offer would cost $2401. If I don't spend a dime in the casino, it will essentially be like Carnival is paying me $357 to take the cruise. Taking into consideration the insanely low cost and the fact that I've never been to 5 of the 8 ports, booking was a no-brainer. Scurvy Seadog Posted May 30, 2018 #21 Share Posted May 30, 2018 Great deal SeaDog! Enjoy! I certainly will! The best part of this is that although I've already taken 3 cruises earlier this year, I only spent time in the casino on one of them and on that one I actually walked off the ship with money in my pocket. :)
StevenLucia Posted May 30, 2018 #22 Share Posted May 30, 2018 The wife really wants to go on that one. That cruise would put her at Diamond Status.
