Cunard Bears

Recommended Posts

Has anyone gotten the bears on the QM2? I'm thinking of getting some to meet my children when we board. (With the help of my travel agent.) I have heard there is an annual bear and a standard bear. Trying to decide if I get all them the same annual bear. Thanks!

Not a collection but I have the 2015 bear. They had some chef bears earlier this year on Queen Victoria, they were quite cute.

The latest bear is dressed as a chef. There is also Charles the bear to go with the book.

Here's a picture of the 2018 Chef Albert bear from Cunard's facebook page.

"Introducing our 2018 Cunard Bear! Chef Albert honours the Cunard Executive Chefs who lead our galley brigade and prepare over 16,000 meals on board for our guests everyday. Albert is available to purchase on board any of our Cunard ships!"

And here's a picture the 2017 Charles bear also from Cunard's facebook page.

"Introducing... Charles, our exclusive 2017 Cunard Bear, named in honour of the Prince's Trust founder, HRH The Prince of Wales. A donation of $2 will be made from every purchase to the Prince's Trust raising funds to transform the lives of disadvantaged young people."

I bought a 2017 Charles bear last year. As I remember there was also a generic bear. At any rate, i left Charles out, and when we came back from dinner, he was on the bed holding the chocolates and next days programs!

Not sure if the prices in the on-board shops are the same or if the special annual bears are more, but the standard Cunard bear listed for pre-purchase in Voyage Personaliser (where OBC does not apply) is $16.99.

During the recent QM2 Norway Fjords cruise, there was a "New Logo Launch" to introduce new Cunard and QM2 logo clothing and souvenirs. Among the items introduced are a "QM Teddy Gilet" for $22, a "QM Bulldog Plush" for $20, and a "QM Ship Plush" also for $20. Here are some photos of those items on the QM2 logo shop display cases, for those that may be interested in this additional Cunard bear and other Cunard plushes currently available on board QM2.

Sorry John, but I can't open your photos :(

Not sure what is going on. The photos are "jpg" files uploaded as standard Cruise Critic file attachments placed inline using "[ ATTACH ]" tags for automatic direct display within the post itself. What application are you using to view my post? I am able to see the images viewing the post in a web browser (Chrome) on my desktop PC as well as in the Cruise Critic "Forums" and "Tapatalk" apps on my smart phone (Android). Anyone else having trouble viewing the images?

They also had the plush ship on the QE last week and were selling off the QE confectionary at half price and re-stocking with a new design. And also selling off things like stationery and magnets with the QE design.

We waved to you on the QM2 in Southampton BTW and saw you following us for ages.

Got the pictures now and how cute. I know one person who will be travelling with us in January who may well be tempted to buy the teddy bears (and it's not me!).
