Quantum of the Seas has appeared in the Napier, NZ port calendar on Jan 18 2022, and twice more in following seasons.  The Unnamed Vessel appears in the Sydney ports calendar on Jan 13 and 24 of that year.  Looks like Quantum (or another Q-class ship) might replace Serenade in Sydney.  This would not surprise given the congestion in Sydney Circular Quay.

That Quantum booking is really interesting as she has never left China ever since she arrived. Guess she will undergo a makeover before heading down.

With Quantum down under in 2021/2022, this will only leave Spectrum in China which for Royal doesn't work out as Singapore is left without a ship. Either Voyager arrives back to Singapore for her winter deployment or this is hinting at a new ship which could be an Oasis Class making its way to Asia soon.

I very much doubt that Royal would abandon Singapore.

Either Quantum would be replaced with another ship or the port entries in the name of Quantum are a placeholder for another ship eg Spectrum.

Just heard that P & O has cancelled their Dubai sailings for this Winter due to the unrest in the Straits of Hormuz. Will RCI follow suit and cancel Jewel going to the region. If so, this will be the 3rd cruise I have had cancelled this year!!

We are on the repositioning November 30th.  Bought insurance, hopefully we don't need it!

You are braver than I -- there is no way I would want to sail in that part of the world right now. 😱

You are probably more likely to get noro next winter on some cruise than anything happening on a sailing there. RCI is much better at skipping iffy destinations than preventing noro.

Booked long before the current 'issues', but I was a little nervous even before we committed.

Actually this cruise replaced the Jewel Rome to San Juan transatlantic that was canceled on us.

Further evidence that there are no guarantees in life.  Good that you have trip cancellation insurance!

Perhaps. At this point in my life, I am risk-averse.
