Rare mking8288 Posted June 11, 2018 #54 Share Posted June 11, 2018 ... MKing This one for you.Sole (TV) Sent from my iPhone using Forums Thanks, looked interesting - variety of input sources, but are they switchable via the "side control panel" ? I see HDMI-1 and HDMI-2 in use already and HDMI-3 available, so ... I could hookup Roku/Chromecast as input source, providing that I can rebroadcast a WiFi inTRAnet signal to stream contents from a portable SSD or USB stick, on a full sea day if we choose to stay in & to just chill out ;p Also, seeing an ethernet cable input - probably Cat-5, but could be Cat-6 with extended long runs to the switched servers. If you get to play with ship's WiFi, let us know how's speed & latency for the connection, are they offering the "mini" data plans by the minutes like most ships, or offering a combo of MB data used/minutes like the Breakaway ? Once we pull into Dockyard & go ashore, we will have full 4G coverage locally via DigiCel as roaming partner at inexpensive rates, not tied to ship's WiFi inTERnet except while at sea. But, always good to know the options & have our contingency plans ahead, just in case ... our upcoming October cruise has reduced time ashore & more time in the Atlantic. Are you going to catch the NCL ferry out to St. George ?? Pictures of the "free" ferry service for ship's passengers and its landing/docking area nearby would be cool to see, if you get the chance. TIA for finding time to post & share ...

dexddd Posted June 11, 2018 Author #59 Share Posted June 11, 2018 Thanks all and sorry for being absent about 24 hours. FR was FANTASTIC last night as others have said. Only about 3 tables in there though. YEAH to John and Geronimo! Went to DBH after and it was fun. Late night buffet still the pits. One day down and would rate 7 out of 8 cylinders. Nothing major, just little oversights that add up. Nemesis still is anything Lats related. I'll expound at some point on issue Miami can't understand but at this point too late. While I make fun of the Lats sparkling wine, that wasn't in room and we requested earlier after BTS tour. No notice in room to sign up for Plat tour first night. Too bad for anyone not in the know. Today did BTS tour which was great. Then CC M&G with Bonni as host and senior management there walking around and talking with beer and snacks. Best on any NCL ship. Off to Captain's Party in 20 minutes. I'll post pictures at some point - have quite a few.

EverywhereAndBack Posted June 12, 2018 #61 Share Posted June 12, 2018 Great review so far! We just left the Escape yesterday (6/10/2018) :loudcry: If you happen to find yourself in the District Brewhouse can you post a pic of the current all time leader board? I was the winner on the last cruise and was really close to making the all time leader board (depending on when they stopped counting) Much appreciated and have a great time on the ship!! How's the "ride" upstairs on your DOS - are you making good use of the forward balcony, much ?? Been checking out the live shipcam, looked like a little bit of (moderate) chops, 10' to 12' seas/waves - gotta be windy being on top ... What time was the BTS tour scheduled and they managed to avoid running into a conflict with the M&G, that's very nice to know, a little details later on, when you get around to it, much obliged. Are they doing theme nightly at the buffet ... my BIL was on the Escape & they're not impressed with the roasted whole pig (Asian night) at all, just FYI in case you decided to stumble downstairs to check it out. :halo: P.S. Just saw your uploaded pictures, looked very nice ... comments on the Haven pool ??

We were on 2-3 for BTS and were feeling movement with only 8' seas. Our room has been fine top and high. I think last night was American night at buffet. Tonight Teppanyaki. dexddd Posted June 12, 2018 Author #68 Share Posted June 12, 2018 Day 2 a wrap. Weathernot in our favor day 2 as windy, rainy, and slight seas. Still had a fun time though. Today mostly sunny and nice. Slides operational. Today is Lats party at 1:15. Also moved clocks ahead one hour last night. Reporting info, not wanting to start arguments. 6/7/8 inside atrium smells like smoke. We’ve been through 3 times even walkingthrough casino and it gets close to O’Sheehans on 8 but worse on 6 in atriumarea. Didn’t seem as bad on BA – mostlysmelled like ashtrays from what I recall. Haven area this week has kids doing kid things. Some playing cards in the corner, otherssplashing in pool. Main lounge areapeaceful. Back to thoughts on ship. NCL has a free game outside the casino called “elevator roulette”. Odds are 1/3 you win a ride on anelevator. This game appears to be VERYfrustrating to guests as they wait for one of the 8 magical doors to open tosee if it is time for a ride to their destination floor. Some guests stack odds by getting on elevatorto only go up (or down) one or two decks. If you do win a ride it typically will be get in, go up one floor to seebrand new losers of elevator roulette then up to each floor in succession torepeat. MKing – spotted a CIIL branded tv at 5 OSWB. Never seen that brand before.
dexddd Posted June 12, 2018 Author #69 Share Posted June 12, 2018 Great band Kartune on board first week. Bonni on our M&G knows them. I was a bit skeptical and the one singer even plugged his band at the M&G which I thought was cheesey. Probably best band I've ever seen on any ship!!!!!! It was like a rock concert from noon to five. Even the great "ENCORE" which they did. Crowd favorite. NCL - KEEP THEM. They even had their own groupies sailing. Rare mking8288 Posted June 13, 2018 #74 Share Posted June 13, 2018 Passing ncl ferry by StG Sent from my iPhone using Forums Gooood morning, thanks for the update, and looked like a beautiful welcome from Bermuda. You are on the way to SG, ahead of the NCL ferry that's packing quite full. Are you now roaming on BDA's cellular service ? Enjoy the islands, continue to follow along. BTW, those newer brand of TV might be water resistant & good for outdoors ?? Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
