ms Eurodam and ms Nieuw Amsterdam in Juneau June 18, 2018

Recommended Posts

If it's Monday, it is the Signature Sisters' visit. Eurodam will be at the AS dock and Nieuw Amsterdam at the CT dock. Both will be in port from 1300-2200.

Believe it or not, the Monday forecast is for partly cloudy skies (only 10% chance or precipitation) and a high of 75F/24C! Low will be 54F/12C. Sunrise is at 3:50 am and sunset at 10:08 pm.

It is a busy day in Juneau with three ships besides the HAL ones. Seven Seas Mariner will be tendering from 0800-1500. At the FKL dock will be Ruby Princess (1100-2200), and Solstice will be at the AJ dock from 1330-2200.

The PTZtv webcam can be found at http://www.juneauharborwebcam.com/.

Next up: Amsterdam on Tuesday.

We were in Juneau in June, 2004 during an unheard of heat wave (high pressure system) over Southeast Alaska.

The day we were in Juneau the temperature hit 84 F.

The locals were dying from the heat!

I was in Superior WI, [southwest end of Lake Superior -about that same time] It was in the 80s there - the residents were also in dire straits. 2 mornins later it was back down in the 40s.

They had no humidity those couple of day and this Florida girl was in summer heaven.

Is that Mariner occupying Ruby's dock?

Roy

Making the most of an empty dock while they can????

I take that back. It must be Ruby and Marine Traffic is not showing her.

Nice not having a view blocker at the AJ Dock.

It doesn't happen that often except earlier in the season, when all the other lines' ships weren't all back.
