A couple of years ago, we did a tour thru Jamaica Culinary Tours. It is a walking tour around Falmouth, lasting about 3 1/2 hours long, and sampling food from about 6 different vendors. It was a great tour, but very hot, at least the day we did it. And we were very full by the time we finished at the owners home with some desserts. Got to see a lot around the area, and with the group, felt very safe walking around there. Highly recommend!

We were just there this past Wednesday. Pleasantly surprised. We did the Appleton Rum tour in the morning. We had planned to spend time in the triangle when we returned. However a storm was brewing. We did shop in a couple of stores and ate the best Jamaican Patties. What specifically would you like to know?

If you want to go to a beach, you'll need to take an excursion or taxi to get to one.

There is a Margaritaville with a very small pool within the secured port area.

Falmouth is my favorite Jamaican port. It has a nice shopping area, reminds me of Cozumel a little, but there is nothing outside of that within walking distance.

A rum tour is what I was looking for!

Did you use a tour company or how did you do the Appleton Rum tour?

Wondering about finding our own way to Appleton outside of the ship excursion.  Taxi? Anybody know how much?

We were just there last week!  A small shopping area with Margaritaville, and that's about it!  We took a private tour to the Blue Hole and Tubing with jamaicaphil.com and had a great day!

Is there a place in the port shopping area to buy beef patties?

I don’t recall seeing one last June, but there is a local place just a couple of blocks outside of the port, bordering the fountain area. We stopped on the Culinary Tour.

This is in the secured area of the cruise port.  Can't remember the exact location, but you can get patties there.
