Down to 850 hours till we leave for Boston. Well under a thousand. And w have a lot going on before then. Next weekend we go down to Long Island to spend the day with our twin Granddaughters. We'll have to check and see how much taller they are than Marylou. LOL. And when we get off that ship we only have 624 hours till our next cruise. And we don't know when out free cruise is. I expect it to be early Spring before school breaks. This is more exciting.

Paul,

You and Marylou keep really bus and that is a great thing.

And to have several cruises coming up is a wonderful thing also.

We have not heard from Bob in a few days and he has not been on the other thread for Hawaii lately. Hope it is only work that is keeping him from posting.

The weather has been a little cooler here and the nights are getting much cooler so the pool is losing temperature quickly. There were 8 of us for water aerobics yesterday but it was tough getting in as the water seemed so much cooler. We pretty much decided that we were done for the season unless we start to get some incredibly hot days. We almost made it to the end of September. I am sad as I enjoy it so much but will look into going to the YMCA for classes. Just hate to come home wet in the winter. I know they have places to change but I want to take a good shower at home before getting dressed again.

All of you have a wonderful weekend.

A late good morning from Palmdale Ca. I’ve been absent for a couple of days due to a very chaotic work schedule. Hope that everyone has a great weekend.....:):):)

Busy night at the hospital tonight but we are working a shorter day being that it's Friday. Got the apple picking tomorrow. Almost as excited about that as getting the free cruise. LOL. Nice weather over the weekend. Monday night I think it is is, we are having a beautiful full moon. Check it out. And that movie about the astronauts going to the Moon is coming out soon.

Bob

I have the casino tomorrow to pick up our free cruise and then back on Sunday for my free play. Other than those stops there are no there planned for this weekend. Got a lot of activities coming up in the next few months. Plus a are more hours at the hospital each week. I like being busy though most of the time.

I actually do have a couple other things to do this weekend, Got a movie tonight about our local pro basketball team that started here in the 80's. One of our coaches was Phil Jackson who went on to win several NBA championships. And many players who went on to play in the NBA. Weather looks perfect for the apple picking. I don't think I'll go out on a limb though. Have a great weekend.

Grandpaul ~ lucky you having a cruise soon & others to look forward to also, especially a free one!

Ann:cool: ~ hope you & your friends have a good train trip & fun at Olvera Street. DH & I went there in 1967 when I wore a size 1!! Oh how I've grown, lol!

Bob ~ glad you were just too busy to post.

Have a nice weekend. It's cooled down up here, only 54F so it'll be fine to put on the oven to bake some squares for a church end of summer picnic tomorrow.

Just got front office approval to book our free cruise. 11 days on the NCL Pearl, which we haven't been on. It goes from Tampa and ends at New York City. Easy ride home. Real nice itinerary. So 3 cruises in 6 months. I like that.

Hi again!

Grandpaul - that's great news! I'm doing a TA from NYC on the Pearl in April so look forward to your opinion on it compared to Dawn.

Hi Jo The two ships are about the same size and the Pearl was just refurbished last year so it should be in good shape. I'm looking forward to that cruise. Excellent itinerary.

Yippee and halleluiah. Good for you - 3 cruises in 6 months. Fun, fun, fun. Happy for you both.

And since you said that, I counted and I also have 3 cruises in 3 months.

Had a great day taking the train into Union Station in Los Angeles and then going to Olvera Streeet. Lots of fun and a beautiful day to enjoy it all; shopping, food and margaritas.

Have a wonderful Sunday all.

Congrats on getting approval to book the cruise. I’m not doing well in getting Holli to give me approval to book a 7 day cruise to put on the front end of next year’s T/A to make it a 28 day cruise.....:):):)

Just tell her you will meet her on Day 8. LOL. Had some skill at the casino today. I should have left earlier than I did but I was still ahead.

Hi all!

Grandpaul ~ same here! I saw the orangey moon early in the evening then the full one before bed but we're supposed to get rain too so who knows about tonight.

I'm off to have lunch with my retired posties' group then do some running around after. Tomorrow I have to drive for 4 hours to my sister's place so I can go to the Elton John concert in Toronto with her Wed. night. I finally sold the ticket I bought for the wrong night at a little more than 1/2 of what I paid. Oh well, live & learn eh?!!

Ann:cool:~ going to watch DWTS tonight? I only know of 2 of the "stars" this time.

Have a great day.

Reminder to check out the full moon tomorrow night.

The moon last night out here was spectacular. But tonight should even be better. Thanks for the reminder.

Good for you getting to see Elton John. I am sure it will be a wonderful show.

Saw a play yesterday titled "A Night with Janis Joplin". The singer was incredible and although very loud, the whole show was very very good.

Yes, I am sure I will start to watch DWTS. However, initially I had heard that there would be no athletes this season and now there are several. Oh well, maybe they could not get others to do it. Will give this season a chance and see if I like it at all.

Have a great time at your lunch and the show.

Geez, I worked an 8 hour day today. Haven't done that in years. Pretty busy too. Don't work again till Friday. Found out tonight they are having a hard time finding people that want to run the desk in our office. Not an easy job and 2 of the workers there now air changing their college schedule and that will cut down on the hours they can work. It's an important job for the families of surgical patients. I was thinking about maybe doing that job but with my hearing it wouldn't go well.

Lost all power from 6:30 PM to 1:30 AM. Of course many new shows started tonight so none of them recorded like Dancing with the Stars.

Oh well, guess there is always On Demand to watch everything I missed tonight.

Wish we had rain out here as that may have been the reason the electricity was out for 7 hours. But, we have no rain at all, now or in the forecast.

Drive safely to the Casino in the heavy rain.

Just realized that next week will be the 10th anniversary of this cruise we all did. One of the best I've been on. Now an interesting story. My twin Granddaughters, Molly and Riley are 15 years old and live on Long Island. Last Thursday someone wrote a threatening note on a wall inside the school. The police responded and went about their business. The twins came home and woke up Friday morning and were having breakfast with their parents. So my son, Mark, asked them if they felt okay going to school that morning. Molly thought for a few seconds and said "I have no problem. It will probably be the safest day all year". We're heading down there to spend all day Sunday with the family.
