Today we were in Casablanca, Morocco.  We did the "Casablanca and Grand Mosque" tour and enjoyed it.  Highlight was the awe-inspiring Hassan II Mosque.  The Mosque is the second-largest mosque in the Islamic world. This magnificent building is both overwhelming in its grandeur and exquisite in its detail.

Some photos.....

We also visited the Mahkama du Pacha in the Quartier des Habous.  It formerly housed the reception halls for the Pasha of Casablanca as well as the Muslim courthouse.  It's currently used for district government administration.

Some gorgeous detail from the building.....

Wow, such beautiful architectural detail, mysty. Breathtaking.

If remember right, this World Cruise was billed as the Tale of Tales, with each segment highlighting different writers. I think you mentioned Pico Iyer and the Lion guy early on, but was there one for each segment? If so, how were the others?

Lovely pictures!  Was Jeremiah Tower the chef many credit with creating California Cuisine?  If so, I sure hope he created a special meal or three for the passengers to enjoy.

Yes, I think he is credited by many for California Cuisine.  As far as I know there was no actual cooking done.

edited to add: I would have wanted to attend all of these, but especially Steve McCurry.

What an absoute treat to sail into Seville.  I just love that city.  Was going up river always on the itinerary or was this a last minute decision?

How wonderful!   So few ships sail into Seville, so I can imagine it was very special. Mysty,  your travelogue has been most enjoyable....What a treat  “sailing the world with you.”  I will be very interested in your reports from Lisbon to London.   We will be right behind you on Seabourn Ovation as we make our way from Lisbon to Amsterdam, starting on May 15...with a sail up the Thames included.  Continued Happy Sailing.
