Dress Code -- Formal Nights -- Anthem

Haven't cruised RCCL in a while. Celebrity has done away with formal nights and call them evening chic. Do gentlemen need jacket and/or tie to get into dining room? Thanks for your reply

Royal does not enforce any dress suggestions, wear whatever you like.

Nope. "Dressiest" outfit I brought was designer jeans, a button up shirt, and loafers.

Depending on when you sail "Dress to Impress" may be the US based sailing standard to replace formal nights.

On our last Anthem cruise most people did get dressed for formal night but some did not. That is the only time I will put on a suit and tie most of the time for the MDR polo shirt and dress short's.

If the Anthem is sailing out of New Jersey, no worries about what you wear. Had a guy on last cruise wear a wife beater, cut off shorts and crocs. Now, if Anthem were to sail from a European port, they have class and care how they look for dinner. Huge difference. But in my case, I'd wear at least a collared dress shirt, slacks, and some nice shoes and maybe a jacket. No tie needed though.

Just sailed on Anthem and you can wear whatever you like. Formal night is the second night but it is NOT enforced. People that want to dress up will always do. If you go with business casual you are right in the middle and will be just fine.

Old info, that's been gone for over a year. All restaurants on Anthem now have the same suggested dress.

Apologies for jumping on the thread - we sailing for the first time with RCI (departing Southampton, UK on Independence in October).

 

Is there anyway of finding out how many formal nights there are?
