NCL Joy Entertainment

Recommended Posts

Does anybody have any idea when NCL will let it be known who or what will be the headline entertainment act on the Joy when it sails Alaska next year?

Any news on this yet? I’m looking at a Joy cruise and extremely curious..... entertainment is one of our top considerations when booking so this is holding me back....

It’s currently elements... I’m presuming it’s going to change to a broadway style show but maybe it might stay the same?

Looking back there was a press release in July saying they weren’t ready to talk about joys entertainment but it was changing - I suspect a big broadway type show... there was hope for Hamilton but that is a no apparently...

Let's say December 18, 2018. That would be 130 days prior to her first US voyage when entertainment reservations are suppose to open.

It looks like there isn’t a dinner theater space for cirque shows? Or am I missing it?

No, it will feature Q like on Bliss. It's a combined specialty restaurant and entertainment venue, but has no dinner show like the earlier ships.

I just read on Encore forum that maybe Footloose is scheduled for the Joy. I’m not sure if it right though.

So sad they aren't keeping Elements...we loved that show on the Jade. Hands down the best show we have ever seen on NCL.

Suppose to be Elements and Footloose.

We we would prefer another big broadway show rather than elements.

Is that common? In my experience the big ships usually have one full-scale broadway show and another show which is more of a musical compilation. I am excited for Footloose and curious about Elements. Will see it April 26!

Will the show still be around on 12/1? I noticed the contract ends before then...

yes..after the contract ends, a set of staff members will join the ship and do the show
