Platinum club benefits ...how good of a discount on balcony can you expect ?

After our cruise in December we will be platinum club members on Royal Caribbean ,was just wondering what kind of discounts we can expect on future cruises for the balcony and suite upgrades . is it just a small amount or a pretty nice discount?

These are the maximum discounts you can receive:

 

 

Platinum Balcony Discount When Booking More than 6 Months from Sailing Date:

$ 50 * for sailings of 3-5 nights

$100* for sailings of 6-9 nights

$200* for sailings of 10+ nights

 

*When booking less than 6 months from sailing date subtract $25 from the dollar amount.

 

 

 

However, Royal computes their fake discounts in a way that diminishes the value of the balcony discount, so don't be surprised if the discount you see does not jive with these numbers.

That said...

 

I tried to book a balcony on an Ovation reposition cruise.

 

Price for two without Platinum: 3228, with Discount: 2679.

 

I booked the discounted rate! :)

 

Other cruises I have priced it and the savings was negligible. If you have the status, price it and see - your mileage may vary.

We're D+ and over that last several cruise's we have taken and booked our C&A discount is becoming more and more basically negligible.

Didn't think that there was a Platinum Member Club level. I believe it is just Platinum Member. Usually the PC refers to Pinnacle Club or Point Chasers which are often one in the same.
