Recommended Posts

Have any of you cruised with Norwegian in a studio cabin as a single? how was the experience, did you easily meet up with other solo or single cruisers? thanks

I just got back from my first sailing in a solo cabin. It was very easy to meet other solo cruisers in the lounge. We were on a Baltic sailing so it was mostly an older crowd. We met more people our age in the casino and disco! I'd definitely do it again.

I sailed 2 times on the escape in the studio rooms and I loved the room. I was sailing with other family members so I did not participate in any of the solo cruiser activities but I know they did have plenty of activities and a solo cruiser coordinator.

I haven't stayed in one myself, but I'm part of a very active roll call for an upcoming cruise on the Bliss, where there is a large contingent of singles who are already "meeting" each other online. Some of them met on previous cruises and planned this one together; others are new to the group. And the majority of them are "older," as in 40+.

My friend and I are 50 & 51 and most of the solos were older than us! I think it really depends on the sailing. We were on a Baltic cruise so the entire ship was an older demographic than you'd see in the Caribbean.
