How's theAC

AC in the cabins has been fine, though we are not yet crossing the equator. Public room A/C was pretty strong so we started wearing a warp in the show room, but today it was not as cold. Ship is in very lovely shape and the new cabin decor is very appealing.

Must be the same techies giving that ^^ coment (post #50) as those who cannot get a useable HAL webiste up and somewhat useful.. Maybe HAL needs a new team of skilled techies?

Using the onboard Maasdam internet right now - and it is okay - an occasional delay in sending posts to CC but most go through right away.

Good to hear from you onboard. What class room did you get? Does the Crow's Nest look good?

As I remember, the Veendam's Crow's Nest was nicer than the Maasdam's; we didn't like the seating in the Maasdam with long benches vs. club chairs and the bar protruded into the space.

The rear pool beats the Veendam's non pool. Some one else posted that the "engine cooling" was redone in drydock which would be great with the very warm climate you will be sailing.

If someone onboard the Maasdam now could post some pictures of the passengers getting on/off a zodiac, that would be great. Also, how long on average are the Maasdam zodiac excursions and what are the costs? Our cruise on the Maasdam next October is still too far out to check out the details on our sailing.

You're going to have to wait a bit longer according to the HAL blog:

The zodiac tours will begin on itineraries starting from Nov. 11 due to the French Polynesian government not providing permission.
