Just booked our first cruise, and pre booked a junior suite 8066 on discovery 2 for next sept 2019 followed by a 3 night stay in Majorca. We’ve had enough of the same hotel same country since 1997 and thought we’d give this a try.

Thanks, everyone we’ve spoken to has said the same. We really do need a change in holiday scenes.

Hope you are joking about the same hotel for 20 years? what was that good?

Same island, but the same hotel since 2006, it was like a second home. Someone wrote a post on trip advisor stating that the more you go to a place you tend to look deeper at the hotel and start nit picking, the hotel we stayed at it had gone through change management, couple of refurbs, then went into a Thompson hotel that we think did spoil it as before there was a great mix of nationalities.

Well, you can’t say that you’re not due a change! Go for it, life’s for living and there’s a big world out there! :)

Once you have done a cruise you will be hooked, we have number 7 booked for Easter next year.

We've just finished our first Marella cruise on the Discovery 2 and we were in Junior Suite 8066!! Great cabin, no noise from above and one side wall of the balcony is solid metal so it feels a bit more private - good choice! We loved it, we have cruised many times with all the lines and would struggle to find fault. For a first cruise this is a brilliant choice, they just make it all so easy.

That's good to hear as we have only ever been with this cruise line, we have been in 8076 & 8086 on Discovery and booked 8086 for Discovery 2 next year, they are nice cabins in a good location.

Think its identical to Discovery, if so yes it does have a fridge and also a useful capsule coffee machine.
