Discount for 55?

Recommended Posts

If you have an American Express card there are often statement credits for Carnival or the other brands of the World's Leading Cruise lines. Thus far on our Jan. 2019 cruise I got a $100 statement credit for making a $500 payment, then a $75.00 statement credit for a $350 payment and just last week I made a $750 payment and got a $150 statement credit. You do have to sign up for them on the AMEX site. Each one is a nice 20% back. It all added up to $325 off the cost of the cruise.

55+ discount...

Would I determine when booking a cruise if the senior discount applies to it. After checking off that I am 55+ at the beginning of the booking, would I have to see the discount applied when I look at the price breakdown? If not how would I go about finding out if a senior discount applies to this cruise?

BTW, does it apply to all cabin types on a cruise that the 55+ discount applies to?
