How To: Start a New Topic

You will need to be registered to Post New Topics or Reply to Existing Topics.  You can register here:  Register for Cruise Critic

 

Post New Topic

Start browsing our Forum Index 

• Select the forum that closely matches your topic ie: Carnival or Family Cruising
• Click or tap onto that forum to enter it.
• Select the POST NEW TOPIC button located at the top/right side of the message boards.
• A box will open where you enter your message.   
• Select a Title for your Topic - Be Specific.  Then you can type your post in the message box. 
• Click Submit when you are finished typing your message.

 

You can also start your new topic directly from the Forums Main Page: 

• Select the POST NEW TOPIC button located at the top/right side of the message boards. 
• You will be given a menu to select the proper forum for your topic.  Select one that closely matches your topic ie: Carnival or Family Cruising.   
• A box will open where you enter your message.   Select a Title for your Topic - Be Specific.  Then you can type your post in the message box. 
• Click Submit when you are finished typing your message

  

Important Notes: A NEW TOPIC should be consistent with the specific forum you choose. In other words, if you want to ask about a Holland America ship and it's amenities, your message should be posted on the Holland America forum. 

You will find the ability to REPLY to an existing TOPIC at the top and bottom of each Topic page. 

• At the top of a Topic page you can click on the REPLY TO THIS TOPIC button which brings you to the enter reply box. 
• At the bottom of a Topic page, click into the REPLY TO THIS TOPIC box and begin typing your reply.   
• Click SUBMIT REPLY when you are finished typing
