Excursions in Punta Cana and Nassau

Hi. Looking for some advice for an upcoming cruise. We will be porting on a RC cruise in Punta Cana and Nassau. We thought at one of the ports we would find a beach to relax at and at the other, we would try an excursion. Any suggestions on which place has better beaches? And suggestions on excursions? We are looking for a land excursion opposed to getting back on another boat. Any input on booking excursions directly through the cruise line? Thanks for any advice. This is all new to us. :)

For Nassau, look at the Bahamas port of call board. Several hotels offer day passes, I can’t think of any reason to book through the ship for this port.

Punta Cana has a beautiful beach, you can do it on your own or through a resort if you are close enough to where the ship anchors.  Nassau has Pearl Island and Cable Beach as well as a resort day.

Beaches are almost ALWAYS easy to DIY...just do a bit of research, so you know about transportation, and which beach might suit you best!
