Hello! We gonna cruise on 4 of the Canary Islands for the holidays and it seems that the nicer places are away from the port soooo :

1. Stay in Las Palmas or go to Maspalomas and Puerto Mogan ?

2. Stay in Santa Cruz  ( Tenerife ) or go to Puerto de la Cuz ?

3. Stay in Santa Cruz  de La Palma or go inland ?

Thank you ! I really appreciate any insight and recommendation 🙂

1. Maspalomas

2. Puerto de la Cruz (enjoyed one night there before our Canarian cruise last year and enjoyed it so much are having four nights there in December before our second Canarian cruise).  Nothing of interest at Santa Cruz.

3. Inland.

Have a wonderful trip.

Rent a car from cicar at all 3. We saw the dunes then went on a whale watching ride on gran canaria. Tenerife we drove to teide national park. La Palma we went to both the caldera and then up to the waterfall. Get reserved parking online for caldera.

Gran Canarias, of course Puerto Mogán, a lovely town with canals and flowers by the sea. The dunes in Playa del Inglés are also interesting. Maspalomas  - Meloneras is a nice promenade with good hotels and restaurants and malls.

We rented a car in Santa Cruz de la Palma (CICAR, but perhaps they are sold out on your date?  I wasn't sure which cities you were checking.)  We drove around part of the island and had a wonderful time.  We went to San Antonio volcano site, and then down a peninsula to see lighthouses and a salt extraction operation.  Then we came back and saw a little bit of Santa Cruz, which was nice.

Sounds nice but unfortunately I could not find a car ... probably sold out . It’s always a next time though 😊
