karen25 Posted October 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2018 (edited) We received an email saying according to our deck, Aloha, we shouldn’t arrive at the terminal until 3:00. We always arrive early so we can familiarize ourselves with our new surroundings. Can anyone tell us if we arrive at noon, will they let us on, or make us wait until our allotted time? Expat Cruise Posted October 22, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2018 Never paid any attention to these notices from Princess. Did two Princess cruises this year and showed up early and boarded early for both cruises. These emails are a way to try to spread people out but once in the terminal they are not used. jennybenny Posted October 22, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2018 Agree with above statements as well. Show up when you want, when you normally do. They offer the suggestion, but you can get there when you'd like. We like to board early, so we get there early. Wait in line for a bit, check in, wait a while and be among the first groups to board. Colo Cruiser Posted October 22, 2018 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2018 Its usually just a suggestion. Arrive when you want.
antsp Posted October 22, 2018 #6 Share Posted October 22, 2018 Princess 1 hour ago, Colo Cruiser said: Its usually just a suggestion. Arrive when you want. Princess email doesn’t really indicate it’s a suggestion, but everyone in the know just ignores it. I guess if everyone ignored it, it would become mandatory
paul929207 Posted October 22, 2018 #7 Share Posted October 22, 2018 The times in the email are suggestions not mandates. However, there are times when boarding is delayed, so there is no guarantee of early boarding. In NYC a month or so ago, boarding for the Royal Princess was delayed to almost 2 pm for a full immigration and customs inspection of the ship.
