Gem is our favorite ship - small enough to be personable, large enough to offer a ton of fun things to do.

Scan through cruise critic and see if you find recent “dailies” - lists everything going on board for the cruise.

possibiliturs are limitless but our our personal favorites are:

1) Broadway-style shows. The 3 main shows on the Gem are wonderful

2) Relaxing in the Spinnaker. Best seating area aside from the Bliss. Great area for sunsets, performances, bar - so comfortable

3) Canvas by U. It’s a cost, but do, so much freaking fun

scan the boards here - really have a to. To choose from ... classes, Kareem, cooking classes, comedians, bands, casino - you will not be bored (unless you WANT to be bored)

Have a great time ... we are getting on the Gem when you are getting off!!!

The sea temperature there is still around 72°F degrees in November, at least in the early part of the month. Some people may consider that swimmable.

It was 71°F when we were there in May. Cold, but you got used to it. Growing up I went to the shore in New Jersey during the summers, so a water temperature around 70° didn't bother me.

Your mileage may vary, of course.

There's a ton to do in Bermuda. We like exploring the forts. Fort St. Catherine in St. George is beautiful, as is all of St. George, in a preserved-history kind of way. Fort Hamilton in (you guessed it) Hamilton is also really neat, but in a more nature-has-taken-over way.

There's the Crystal Caves, too.

No shortage of things to do in Bermuda. You'll probably find the stay too short!

I highly recommend checking out the live music throughout the ship on the Gem. Not just the theater shows, but the musicians performing at the bars & lounges. I found the Gem to have great live music quite often on my sailing back in June.

I agree with this.  We were quite surprised at the level of talent of some of the musicians on the Gem.  Most nights found us in either Magnums or the Atrium listening to music.  The guitar player was particularly good, as was the band that played a lot of international music.  But all of them were enjoyable.
