Great shots of Labadee!  Did you happen to find out anything about the massages on the “island?”

Hi, vtroper!

I was just about to search for your original post... glad you came back.  Yes, the lady who makes the spa appointments said the prices are the same on Labadee as they are on the ship.  For Labadee day, they had  50 minutes massage special for $129, which included Swedish or deep tissue back massage, Frangipani scalp massage, Reflex pressure point foot massage & Hydrating facial.

I don’t know if there are typically spa discounts on the cruise planner prior to sailing, but excursions are significantly cheaper on the cruise planner than booking onboard.  You may want to see what the prices on the cruise planner are in order to compare with online prices.

Enjoy planning your cruise!

How is the water temperature at Labadee?

It is very nice and comfortable to us!  Perfect to stay cool, but not too cold to walk straight in. 🙂 Some people may think it is too warm.

Thank you so much.  I’ve read in other posts that you can’t make the reservations for Labadee massages until you get on the ship, so your intel is very helpful.  Thanks again for looking into that for me and have a great rest of your trip.  I’ve enjoyed following along...

Unfortunately, I will not be able to post a whole lot more, if any, tonight.  I did want to get the Compass out there for those of you traveling soon.  It has been a GREAT day at sea.  I will post more details when we get home.

I have tons of ship pictures I thought I could post today, but we just had too much fun. 😁

Thank you for cruising along... I will finish up in the next few days after we get home.

Home, (bitter-sweet) home:

We are safe at home.  Thanks for all the well wishes!  We miss our floating home, but at least we will be at sea again in 5 weeks... 🙂

Here we go to complete our last sea day report.

Breakfast:

We enjoyed an early morning snack with the best pastries in the diamond lounge, had our cereal and GREAT chicken sausage in the Solarium Bistro, the  stopped by Park Cafe for one of their tasty burritos.  Where I grew up, it is called a safari breakfast - a different course at each location.  😁

Do you think you will make it through the week without getting stuck on the wrong side of the aft elevators? 😉 🤔

😂 I am determined to live up to my reputation of having an excellent sense of direction... at least where port and starboard are concerned.

Otherwise, I may take up pole vaulting.  🙈

So, I did get through the whole week without getting stuck on the wrong side, which is really good, since it seems Royal is onto the idea of pole vaulting across the great Boardwalk divide: 😂

Room Review: Stateroom 7272

While we are on the topic of deck 7,  I will do a quick room review. We had a similar balcony on Allure of the Seas which was a great location for us. That is why we chose this balcony. Unfortunately, Harmony either has less soundproof doors, or the passengers we sailed with were more noisy.   We could frequently hear voices in the hallway in the middle of the night. Now, the middle of the night for us is anything after 11 PM.

We had a great stateroom attendant, Jorge, who quickly figured out our schedules and had the room ready early.

Pros:

Close proximity to the boardwalk and promenade, as well as Central Park.

Much better  layout than Oasis and Allure, given the divided closet.

The balcony is quite large for a regular price. This is in comparison with other class ships.

We love all the extra outlets, especially for USB charging.

There is even an outlet by the bed, which I forgot to post previously with the cabin pictures:

Cons:

Noise, as previously mentioned.

If you mix up your port and starboard, you may end up on the wrong side of deck seven without a way to cross back to your room without going up or down a deck.

Overall:  This is my favorite layout for a regular balcony of all the ships we have sailed.  We are booked on deck 10 next year, so we will see how that compares.

Sea Day Morning:

Our morning consisted of lots of balcony time with beautiful sea views, and one of my all time favorite cruise events, Captain’s Corner:

Tip:  Do not miss Captain’s Corner, especially if you sail with Captain Johnny.  It was fun, informative and highly entertaining!  This picture sums it up pretty well:

Before Captain Johnny and staff came out, they showed this video of him with his Harley everywhere.  I saw it parked whe we came back to ship one day, but it was in the security area, so I could not take a picture...

Hideaway Heist:

This was the fun diving show that does not require reservations.  We got to the Aqua Theater about 25 minutes before the show started so that we could get seating in the shade.

Tip: If you sit in the front 2-3 rows, you will get wet.

Take a walk for a preview of the ship pictures:

Tip:  The elevators have a key to help you find the decks of the main attractions.  For example, deck 6 has a picture of the carousel, as that is where the Boardwalk is located:

Our Final Dinner in the Solarium:

I already plan on booking every night here for our cruise next November.  With my hearing loss, this was the perfect solution to be able to converse and hear my family as well as the waiters.

My two favorite salads:
