Harmony of the Seas - 11/3/18-11/10/18 - Quick Review

Overall  - Wonderful Trip - Beautiful Ship - Well laid out - We sailed full - 6700 passengers and it never felt crazy crowded. The service was wonderful. I did feel that it is better geared for families with kids - most activities and entertainment are geared for families/kids. We had an ocean view balcony cabin - very nice size, lots of storage (first time on a cruise I actually had space left over after unpacking) - I only had 2 issues - there was really nowhere to hang your wet swimsuits (no cord in the shower, just 2 ineffective hooks) and they had a shampoo/condition in the shower dispenser instead of body wash.

Entertainment - we managed to attend all the shows except iSkate - the highlight by far is Grease, the Aqua show is spectacular, but in my opinion a bit weird, the second Aqua show (sorry forgot the name, it’s the one you can’t make reservations for) was in my opinion much better. The main ice skating show, the headliner and the comedians were ok, and we walked out of Columbus (but others on board seemed to like it).

Dining - we ate most of our meals in the MDR - enjoyed the food, some standouts for us were the Lamb Shank and most of the Appetizers. We had dinner at the Solarium Bistro one night - I highly recommend the grilled shrimp entree and every single appetizer lol. The MDR lunch menu is very limited, but they have the buffet in there too in case you don’t see something you like.

Ports of Call - loved all three - the beach at Labadee was great, we did the Dragons Breath Zipline - LOVED IT! The buffet lunch was very good.

In Jamaica we did a private excursion with Jaital to Dunn’s River Falls (AMAZING!) and Bamboo Beach (terrible). But was worth it just for the falls.

We took a taxi to Paradise Beach in Cozumel - LOVED IT - wonderful beach, great food, fun water bouncy slides. Very reasonably priced.

Overall a great vacation, but I think I prefer the slightly smaller ships.

Sailing Harmony for the first time in March. Be interested to try this class of ship!   Do you recall the MDR lunch having the Tutti salad bar on sea days?
