Will welcome any opinions/suggestions for a port day in Koper

We went to Piran on our own, using public bus from Koper. Piran is a beautiful seaside town, a Venetian settlement. Very easy to do on your own.

Depends on your interests and shorex/private tour options. The town itself is tiny.

We did the ‘hop on hop off’ bus tour with Istranka http://www.istranka.si/en/shore-excursions-koper/english-hop-on-hop-off/. It isn’t really a hoho in the normal sense, really it is a mini-tour. However we really enjoyed it and can recommend it. We booked in advance which saved some money and guaranteed a time slot, but you can just turn up and book on the day. They have a kiosk on the dockside.
