We arrive at the parking garage at 10:10am and were checked in by 10:30. The diamond/platinum and suite guests waited in the “Captain’s Lounge” and Faster to the Fun had it’s own waiting area. 

 

They started boarding at 11:15am and we were on by 11:25.

The Leonardo Lounge on promenade deck 9 mid-ship

The piano bar on deck 8 always has fantastic singers that will take your requests.

The photo area on deck 9 has been streamlined and has digital imagery along with the printed photos. You can now see your photos on the carnival hub from your phone but i still think the actual photo is much better. 

 

There are also also a men’s (port side) and women’s (starboard) bathroom on each side between the entrance from the stairs/elevator and the stairs from the theater

Pictures- we have gotten some fantastic family pictures over the years. It’s always hard to get everyone dressed up and some place for pictures, so this is ideal. We go around and take pictures at the different backgrounds and see what turns out. We did not buy a picture this trip since we got a really good one in January. You can screen shot the pictures but they really are not printable. Several years ago, we got a picture printed on canvas and it came out wonderful. 

 

If you want a number number of photos, I think the picture package is a good deal. the policy is that someone from the cabin needs to be in each picture, but from what I read, just need to make sure the photographer has the sign & sale card of the person with the photo package.

THe art gallery runs from the atrium to the mid-ship elavators on the Empress deck 7. There are many unique pieces here. They usually have ant last one art show with free Champaign

The library is located in dectk 8 in the atrium. There were lots of games and books available for the guests to use. This is also where the chef’s table is hosted

The Normandy Lounge is located in the front of ship on the Atlantic deck 8 & the promenade deck 9. It it used during the day for all types of activities including bingo, dance classes & towel animal folding classes.  In the evening, there is usually shows. The only time I have ever seen them cancel a show, was when it was extremely rough due to the dangers to the dancers. 

 

There are usually 8 dancers on the ship. From what I understand they are some of the only crew allowed in passenger areas.  They are occasionally seen on the sun decks, in the dining areas and late at night in the dance club or piano bar.  They usually have a closed door rehearsal some time during the day. 

 

We saw the 80s show and enjoyed it. There are usually two shows each night.  If you plan on attending, plan your dinner time accordingly.  If you are short on time, make sure to mention it to your waiter.
