Christmas Decorations on Ventura

I have M&FIL on Ventura at the moment. They are saying the rumours going around are that they will be decorating the ship with the Christmas decs while in Gibraltar!

That's on the 19th...

I did not think they did it so early and normally it's done in December.

Personally I HATE to see decorations up this early.......

She got quite upset when I said "oh no that's so wrong so early"

I don't think it was advertised as a "festive cruise"

Never seen them up until the first cruise in December, its only 5 weeks Tuesday so not early really.

We usually cruise end November early December and we have found that they usually decorate sometime during our cruise so I would expect them to decorate on the cruise leaving Southampton 23rd November.  This year we are going later so I expect to see the decorations when we board.

When do P&O take down the Xmas Decorations, we will be on board 4th Jan and wondered if they will still be up?

All our P&O festive cruises we have been on they have started packing the decorations away on the afternoon of 2nd January.

The ship will be clear of decorations the next morning .

I agree, far too early, it's the middle of November for goodness sake.

Well I am on Ventura next Friday and it is advertised as a festive cruise. We have been told the decorations will be up and we are looking forward to seeing them.

Ventura's decorations have been shown on FB today.

MIL also confirmed they were being put up while in Cadiz. She was surprised they were being done by an outside team of decorators .

The decorations are always put up and taken down by an outside firm who have the contract to do that, according to one of the people putting them up when we were on the Christmas Markets cruise on Aurora last year.  When we boarded Aurora on 3rd January this year all decorations had gone.

This has always been the case as long as we have had Christmas cruises. They are put up by contractors. As whether it is too early most high streets have now been decorated and the lights turned on.
