Viking Crown Lounge On First Day?

Is the VCL open on the first day of the cruise? We are thinking of having a meeting there for about 16 people and it would probably be sometime between sailaway and the first dinner seating. Are there normally many people up there during this time and would it be very crowded? 

 

How and when can I find out if they will use the VCL as an overflow for the Diamonds?

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to have a meeting in the VCL as long as there are enough seats for your group.  As far as being used as overflow for the DL it varies from ship to ship, cruise to cruise.  Really no way of knowing ahead of time.

Yes the VCL will be open.  The bar may not.

 

If it is fully used as overflow for the clubs, then it will close around 4PM.  The odds it will be taken over by the clubs are pretty small.

Have a plan B in case a wedding or other group has it booked for a private function.  It's a popular spot for a wedding reception.

Keep in mind it will be closed during Muster drill.
