susiesan #1 Posted November 18, 2018 Can we use our senior lifetime National Park pass to visit El Morro for free? Even though admission is only $5 each saving a bit always helps. If so, I will being the pass with us on our cruise.

I guess you never know where you might be able to use it. We will be in San Juan on Dec. 8 after disembarking Star Pride before heading to SJU for a 3:00pm flight home. I plan to drop the luggage at Barrachina and take a walk around Old San Juan and up to El Morro. I haven't been there in over 20 years. cruzinfamilyof4 #4 Posted December 30, 2018 I don't have the Senior pass for National parks, but I do have the annual pass for all national parks. Will that work for us too?

Yes - Since these are national parks, your pass will work.

Stinger-pr #7 Posted January 7 Be aware that the federal government shutdown is affecting access to both forts as of Monday, Jan. 7, 2019. There was an agreement with local government to partially fund operations for a while to keep them open due to their importance to tourism but as of two days ago, that agreement has expired and was not renewed by the federal government. So I'm guessing that until this shutdown ends, there will be no access to the interior of any of the forts.
ShipsandDipper #8 Posted January 10 El Morro was open today (with free admission) and expected to be open for up to the next 12 days, from what a ranger told me. Things are in flux, so don’t assume whether they’ll be open or closed.
KatPem #9 Posted January 22 (edited) The National park's access pass works as well to get in free with whatever stipulations it has (I think it is card holder and 3 adults can get in free) Edited January 22 by KatPem
