Balcony chairs for larger people

My Significant Other is a large guy and there is no way he'll be able to use the chairs with arms on our balcony. Has anyone had any luck getting different chairs on their balcony for the cruise?   We called and were told to contact the Guest Access department.  They are only open Mon-Fri so we haven't had a chance to call.

Just ask your room steward when you get on boat.

I am a larger guy and go about 32 stone. That being said I'm in pretty good shape and can take two floors of steps before needing a rest.  I have found that I can bring one of the chairs from the buffet to my balcony and it works just fine.

On the Victory back in April we had chairs with no arms on the balcony. I was happy.

For those not familiar with UK body weight measurement, a "stone" is 14 lbs.

Before I lost over 400 lbs we used to bring our own bariatric chair in a bag, worked good for me and not too expensive.

didn't have to ask anyone for special favors.

Might depend on the ship- old versus recently refurbished etc. So what ship are you sailing?
