Would you mind sharing what your original category was, what the minimum was, and what your accepted bid was?  No problem if you'd rather not share.  I'm just wondering what chance my Freedom bid has.  LOL

I can't recall exactly what the minimum bid was to be honest, but around $350 I think?  We were in a junior suite and my bid for the GS that was accepted was $800 p.p.  I bid the mx because I wanted it and it was considerably less expensive than paying for the suite.  I think its well worth it.

Are all your bids showing as pending or just one? Or did you only make one bid? Good luck and happy sailing tomorrow 😊

Just one bid. I’m in a sky suite and was looking to get into a star suite. That category has been sold out for a while now so I knew it was a stretch. Thanks for the well wishes: right back at you!

so what happened here. i made a bid a week ago. got confirmation email. today i get another upgrade email, i clicked on it. it showed i made no bids before.

i went to my one week old email and clicked and it said no eligible. what gives?

i did book thru TA if that matters

now i get this email..very whacky since theres been zero changes to my reservation

This email is to let you know that we’ve cancelled your requested RoyalUp upgrade due to a change in your reservation.

Thanks for the update. I'm sure that you will enjoy the Grand Suite.

I received that email today as well.  I never made any changes to my reservation.  I had to re-bid.

Is that for all ships? We'll be in the OS on the Jewel of the Seas in about 12 days. Never sailed with RCC yet, so trying to wrap our heads around the differences between them and NCL Haven for what's included vs what isn't.

Others have reported that old bids were scrubbed and new ones released. One person mentioned that the new bids had a lower minimum. So, apparently the minimums have been changed for the bids, and the old bids were eliminated. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes , I was one of those. 24 hours after I upgraded for about the same as the minimum bid; my minimums decreased by at least $200 each. My old bids were cancelled.

I did receive an email  telling me they were cancelled and inviting me to bid again.

I have never tried to Royal Up and I don’t have time to read back thru the thread. How do I go about this? I have a cruise in 23 days and need to check in for it. Do I check in first or does it matter?

It doesn't matter if you have checked in or not. On the top right hand side of Royal's website you should see "Manage My Cruise". Click on that and go to the bottom of the page until you see "Royal Up". Click on that and put in your last name and reservation number.

Our November 20 cruise is sold out. I guess because it is over thanksgiving?  Doesn’t show up on the website anymore.  I don’t think a minimum bid is going to cut it.  How much should I bid over?  Double minimum bid, triple?  Thanks for the help.

Scratch that, it is not sold out. I put in the wrong departure port 🙃.

Thanks for the info. I get this message “Please ensure your sailing is within the next 30 days
Please ensure there are no errors in the information you entered”

I will need to check to see if the TA I used participates in the program.

So, I finally received the “your bid was unsuccessful” email tonight at 8pm. We sail tomorrow. Disappointed for about a minute, it wasn’t unexpected. First time bidding so it was a learning experience. Thank you all for your input

Sorry to hear this, but good luck for next time you try.

If you were currently cruising 😉, someone on board might be able to help.  If you have other cruises booked, make sure your putting in the reservation # for the one in 23 days.  I don’t think it matters if you booked through a TA.

Bid until 3 hours before sailing????

I was checking my 2 Royal Up bids and notes that instead of being able modify bid until 54 hours before sailing; both bids now say "3 hours".

"3 hours" had shows up previously but only on the Royal Loft Suite bid which I have rescinded as i decided I would rather donate that money to the casino.

Glitch or something new?

It must be a glitch other wise someone could upgrade who is already checked in

 Thant seems a coordination nightmare

It seems to be normal for some ships to consider upgrades after check in as those customers are getting the denial e-mail well after sail away. I haven't read of any such upgrades but plenty of reports of denial e-mail after sail away.
