I bid on four different suites for our 1/29 Odyssey cruise.

Yesterday cancelled three of them.  Should be some opened up now.  😉

They are still inviting me to resubmit my bids...so yeah...they are still taking bids.

Thank you, but every time I try the message says to check if there are any errors in what I entered....gggrrr

quick question: MY DH would like to know if Kendall Jackson wine is on the list for Diamond/diamond plus drinks either in the diamond lounge or at the bars?

Also, can we still get espressos in the diamond lounge throughout the day or just the morning hours?

Try a different browser or clear your history, shut down and try again. On the app under the menues I have seen Kendall Jackson on the wine list.

What a wonderful surprise.  I gather you had not yet gotten an email about your bid. When had you last checked your bid status on the RoyalUp site?

I got an email about the Interior upgrade to Ocean View like 3 days before leaving and that was the only bid I did. It was deck 4 and at the port they said I was now deck 8, so I didn't know it was a balcony till I got in the room! And the welcome aboard paper (and pre booked excursion) had pen marks scratching out the old room number and handwriting in the new number.

As for checking the pending i never really looked because I didn't care / expect to actually get it haha.

That’s wonderful.

I wonder, though, based on what you just posted if RoyalUp gave you the OV upgrade.  Then, to your good fortune, Royal Caribbean decided to move you for covid-spacing reasons, which resulted in the balcony upgrade.  Regardless, it is a nice cabin.  Have fun.

How long does it take the Royal Up system before you can see the new pricing offers after you upgrade yourself?

Curious as to how long it took for the new offers to be reflected. I upgraded myself on Friday and I’m anxiously awaiting to place our new bids

Coming back to update. We got our bid accepted for a Grand Suite 2BR on the Liberty of the Seas, up from a Junior Suite. We are excited to see what the perks are for a suite as we have never stayed in one before. Any advice or suggestions from you more experienced cruisers?

Suite perks for non-Oasis, non-Quantum class can be found here.  https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-are-the-benefits-of-the-suites-program

Keep in mind some things might be 'paused' due to Covid though.

Booked a 4 night out of Port Canaveral for 7Feb22 last week for cheap. $200 per person for an ocean balcony. Unable to bid prior to an email offer today.

The page claimed that all the bids were “50% off”, whatever that means. Still we were offered everything from a JS at a minimum bid of $15 (!) to a Royal suite. Mid grade suites had minimums of only about $100 up to the RS at $200.

i bid about a quarter of the way up the scale rather than my usual $20 over the minimums. I bid $400pp for the RS.  $200pp for each of the OS and 2 bed GS. And $160 for the 1 bed GS.  I did not bid on the JS because I did not want that bid to compete with my others and a JS isn’t a big deal to us.

We have gotten suites on our last 3-4 sailings thru royal up, and I really like playing this game!

It took about 36 hours for me several weeks ago.

Having had a suite on many different classes of Royal ships, from the adventure of the seas  ( which I think is an Explore class) , all oasis class, and the quantum, I must say the difference between the adventure and the Oasis class ships is very significant.  No real Suite deck on adventure- some balcony stadium style seating in the pool area- all very hot and sunny so we didn't use.  The suite lounge was a room with a portable bar and some snacks-  Breakfast was served, if you wanted in a specialty restaurant and no suite restaurant for dinner.

The biggest perk was the nice room.  We enjoyed it.  And the staff was great.

My sister and I booked a 2BR Grand on the Liberty, and I'm waiting to see if my bids for the 4BR Villa or Royal Suite are accepted.  (not holding my breath). I could have also bid on an owner's suite, but didn't because it's actually a downgrade from the 2BR Grand (not sure why they would even include that as a paid "upgrade" since the owner's suite is cheaper than the 2BR Grand).

As to the suite perks, I just received this from the concierge today (and he got the date wrong LOL):

My name is Amit, and I can’t wait to welcome you onboard Liberty Of The Seas on Sunday, 23rd January 2022. I hope you’re ready for a wonderful cruise vacation with us.

I’m torn.  Looking for your advice!  We are in a grand suite.  We put in lowish bids for 4 categories above us.  Currently, they are all sold out.  Now we are getting the offer to royal up to 2 bedrooms GS.  Note, the only thing above us showing as available on website is this.  It’s only 2 of us, but extra bathroom and space could be cool.  If we bid on that, will it hurt our chances of our other ones?  What would you do?
