I dont want to lose £600 worth of drinks package for a £300 bid for a balcony.. Thanks The only perk I can see being lost would be those perks based on having a Boardwalk or Central Park balcony stateroom on Oasis class.
Boyetter2013 #2053 Posted April 22 We bid just above the $400 minimum to go from guaranteed balcony to grand suite on the 4/20 Anthem sailing. Bid did not win.
Tiggercat #2054 Posted April 22 I wish they would differentiate bids for Crown Loft L1 and Crown Loft L2 suites. To me there is a huge difference between these suites. We have stayed in both and they are great...but if you get an L2, you face the sports deck instead of right over the ocean and we prefer the quiet ocean view instead of watching all of the activities down below. I would for sure bid on an L1 for our upcoming June 9 cruise on Allure if I knew it was just for an L1. Instead, my fingers are crossed that our bid on the Owners Suite is accepted!
SoonerDan #2055 Posted April 22 We just won a bid. Bid $230 to go from balcony to Grand Suite on Mariner. Minimum was $200 and max was $350 We are really excited! Wife has sailed in JS before but for me my first suite experience. Always balcony before With a Grand Suite we will get concierge access even though we got it through royalup correct?

We are on the same cruise and have not received a Royal Up offer. I had the same concern about the CL suites. I need to see the ocean right there below me! We would have bid on a Sky class suite ; happy with our location in a GS but would have loved to try the Genie life for hahas! Keep us updated and see you in 48 days 1 hour 2 minutes and 55 seconds!

Sky Class does not come with a Genie. If you are in a Grand Suite you are already in Sky Class

TanaQ #2068 Posted April 23 Just got off Anthem this past Saturday. Still a cheapie noob so booked inside staterooms and received the Royal Up offers. I wanted the OV balcony and it was $150 min. pp. I bid 160. I heard nothing and 2 days before sailing I figured it was a no go. Who wants an inside stateroom right? Well about an hour later I got my accepted offer. Great midship location on deck 9. And supposedly the ship was sold out. Maybe a last minute cancellation?

Also had a balcony in February to the Bahamas. And booked Oasis for when she is in Bayonne next year. Balcony for sure since it will be summer!

Yes I made sure I was paying less than I would have just booking balcony in the first place. And now I'll have to look at other ship differences because on some sailings (other ships) balconies were very close to inside. I was kind of surprised.
eynsteinp #2073 Posted April 24 I am new to the Royal Up process and have a question. I booked an Aquasuite for the June 9 Harmony sailing. Two days later I got the email offering to bod to move to a two bedroom Aquasuite for a range of $200 to $600 per person. I decided that I wanted to move to the 2 bedroom so I bid the maximum of $600. My question is, when I made my bid, I called reservations to see if I could just book the bigger room but was told that they could not do that because once they send out the Royal Up email they pull the remaining 2 bedroom suite from inventory. That seems unlikely that they would not sell it to me or other customers for full price. Is this true? If so, does bidding the maximum make it very likely that I would be granted the upgrade? Thanks for the input.
