Megan's Bay Security

Are there lockers at Megan's Bay?

Tour guide (not w/cruise line) offers to lock personals in bus.  Not feeling warm and fuzzy about that option.

What to do with personals when we are in the water?

I saw advertisements for Kyss bag but seriously, if you anchor it to your beach chair or table, someone could just walk off with it and cut it open.  Where's the security in that?

Megan's Bay is very safe. We have been there numerous times and never have we had a problem when we go swimming. Our chairs are close to the water, and we keep an eye, but there are people all around and I have never heard/seen anything bad happen.

Went to Megans Bay two weeks ago from a cruise ship on our own as we have done many, many times.  It's a state park.  Never any security issues so far.  We put our stuff on a bench of the picnic table under the pavilion, get in the water and walk all the way to one end to the other in the water.  Come back, get our noodles and float around.  Never, never any problem.
