Back at the dock, we settled up, and headed back to the ship.

The shared Charter was $125 per person and you put a $25 dollar deposit at the time of booking. The rest is payable at the end of the tour. We all had a blast, and we will most definitely be going again.

We get back to the room and find an invitation to a special District Brewhouse event. Sweet!

On a less awesome note, luggage tags to get off the ship. Say its not so..

So Susan decides since she got the courage to snorkel, she was going to go down the drop slide. As she got over by the slide, a "Code Alpha" goes out. Describing the drop slide. She witnesses a young lady climbing out of the slide with assistance. She has a towel wrapped around her head and its covered in blood. She decides that slide is out. We found out more in Nassau about what happened. A friend of the young lady was on the tour with us. He said that she went down the slide and got stuck. The Norwegian personnel did not see that she got stuck and sent a gentleman down. He ran into her and got stuck as well. The slide personnel sent another person, who crashed into the two of them and got stuck. Finally, they got the operators attention and got help.

The young lady spent the next two days in the Medical center, before getting sent by Ambulance to a hospital once we reached Nassau.

It was totally avoidable and preventable.

So Susan heads to Spice H2O for the grotto.

La Cucina Menu

Note: I like the La Cucina menu on the other Norwegian ships a bit better than the La Cucina menu here on the Bliss. Too many spicy things and my favorite steak was not longer on the menu.

I got a Burrata "Caprese"

OMG I want that burrata caprese!!!

So at 4 pm, we met at Sugarcane for the Pub Crawl.

IMG_7123-L.jpg

Sugarcane was the first stop and of course I got a Raspberry Mojito!

IMG_7124-L.jpg

IMG_7125-L.jpg

Maltings was next. I got this really good drink, but I didn't get the name of it because I told the Bartender to make his favorite drink.

IMG_7126-L.jpg

District Brewhouse was next. We got the Cranberry Sparkle drink on tap. It was very good.

IMG_7127-L.jpg

The Atrium Bar was next.

IMG_7128-L.jpg

Bahama Mama's was the drink we got here.

IMG_7129-L.jpg

We headed to Mixx

IMG_7131-L.jpg

Our group of revelers. We all agreed the drink we tried here wasn't very good, but I can't remember what we got.

IMG_7132-L.jpg

Finally, we ended up in Spice H2O

IMG_7133-L.jpg

IMG_7134-L.jpg

IMG_7135-L.jpg

we ended up hanging out for a while and the Chocolate Mudslide was really good!

We went back to the room to change and get money for the Casino after Jersey boys.

IMG_7156-L.jpg

Mr Elephant was waiting for us.

IMG_7157-L.jpg

We headed to the Theater for the 1030 pm show.

Jersey Boy's was awesome. Best show since Band on the Run on the Escape. Great story line, excellent music, and was easy to follow. A Must see.

Trace and I went to the Casino afterward and cleaned up on the craps table. That table was hot, hot, hot. I left the ship with several hundred more dollars than I came aboard with in my gambling money!

End of day 5

I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.

I am going to pause the review here and will hopefully get Day 6 going on the 26th. I am going to celebrate Christmas with Susan and my family, and feel that is more important.

Thanks for reading!

Matthew

I love your review....so comprehensive & entertaining.....you look like your group is a lot of fun to hang out with.  While you were in Tortola did they have an open air flea market that is a bit further away from the piers tourist shops open? I had wanted to check that out when i was there but sadly ran out of time while visiting.....

I'm not Matthew, but we were in Tortola in Oct. on the Getaway and this flea market was open and seemed busy. We walked right by it.

We actually did not get down that far, we went a block from the Pier park and then cut through a path to Village Cay Marina near the bank.

Susan went to Battle of the Cake Master's and I went and played in the Casino.

IMG_7203-L.jpg

Silas - Cruise Director

IMG_7204-L.jpg

Head Pastry Chef

IMG_7205-L.jpg

Jackie - Assistant Cruise Director

IMG_7206-L.jpg

Silas called 2 people up from the audience, and tried to toss a Maraschino Cherry into their Mouth. The guy was successful in catching the cherry and the lady was not.

IMG_7207-L.jpg

Gloving up for the operation. Any volunteers?

IMG_7208-L.jpg

All three were making a Black Forest Cake. The HPC was explaining how to put the cake together.

IMG_7209-L.jpg

The cake was supposed to be cut sandwich style and Jackie cut his Hot Dog style.

IMG_7212-L.jpg

Jackie wanted a soaked Black Forest Cake.

IMG_7213-L.jpg

Whip it, Whip it good.

IMG_7214-L.jpg

IMG_7215-L.jpg

Silas questioning the "cake" being produced by Jackie.

IMG_7216-L.jpg

Put the Cherry Compote on the cake.

IMG_7217-L.jpg

IMG_7218-L.jpg

Second layer of cake and liquor.

IMG_7219-L.jpg

Don't make everyone Drunk Jackie, its only a little after 10am.

IMG_7220-L.jpg

Whipping the Cake a second time, since it still wasn't behaving.

IMG_7221-L.jpg

IMG_7222-L.jpg

Jackie is creating a Cherry Waterfall!

IMG_7223-L.jpg

Not too bad Silas.

IMG_7224-L.jpg

Its not a Volcano Jackie. You could have left a little liquor in the bottle.

The Volunteer wanted to assist Jackie with more whipped cream.

IMG_7227-L.jpg

Silas gave the Volunteer some whipped cream for being such a good helper. He did an airplane approach to the mouth, as you would a toddler.

IMG_7228-L.jpg

IMG_7229-L.jpg

Finishing 2 cakes and whatever Jackie is making.

IMG_7230-L.jpg

The Spatula is there for a reason Jackie. Maybe if the Assistant Cruise Director doesn't work out, they can use him in the Spa.

IMG_7231-L.jpg

IMG_7232-L.jpg

Silas had to assist Jackie.

IMG_7233-L.jpg

Filling the piping bag.

IMG_7234-L.jpg

Transfer the cake to the presentation plate.

IMG_7235-L.jpg

add the chocolate shavings to the side of the cake.

IMG_7236-L.jpg

IMG_7237-L.jpg

Does Jackie's have a side?

IMG_7238-L.jpg

Pipe on the whip cream.

IMG_7239-L.jpg

IMG_7240-L.jpg

IMG_7241-L.jpg

IMG_7242-L.jpg

Make it pretty Silas.

IMG_7243-L.jpg

Called the Volunteer back up to supply him with more whipped cream.

IMG_7244-L.jpg

It was a messy experience.

IMG_7245-L.jpg

Sharing the love!

IMG_7254-L.jpg

Now put a cherry on top.

IMG_7257-L.jpg

Cutting a hole into the cake to pour even more liquor in.

IMG_7258-L.jpg

Who gave him another bottle?

IMG_7259-L.jpg

IMG_7260-L.jpg

Silas demonstrating what would happen to you if you ate Jackie's cake, ie puking.

IMG_7261-L.jpg

IMG_7262-L.jpg

IMG_7263-L.jpg

Can you see the resemblance?

 IMG_7264-L.jpg

The cake "puking"

IMG_7265-L.jpg

Give it up for the HPC.

Susan did not stick around to try the cake, but she did find the library and card room on deck 6.
