kootz Posted December 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2018 Cruising on the Oasis next month. Can anyone tell me if the ship has DIET Tonic Water available? We have the drink package but not sure if I will have to bring Diet Tonic. It’s a must for us everyday.

GEORGIEGIRL Posted December 27, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2018 Sadly no. I just came off of the "Oasis" 3 weeks ago and they do not have "Diet Tonic" anywhere on the ship. They do however have "Sprite Zero. I drink Gin & Diet Tonic w/lime when I cruise. I just sub "Sprite Zero" instead. Works for me.
cb at sea Posted December 28, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2018 Bring it, if you need it. Otherwise, it's not that many calories!

Each no larger than 500ml.
Rare xpcdoojk Posted December 28, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 28, 2018 I would rather not drink than drink a diet Gin and tonic. It is way too sweet, at least all of the brands I have tried. jc

kootz Posted December 28, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted December 28, 2018 Thanks for the comments. I drink tonic for my leg cramps and can’t have the sugar which is why I need the diet. Looks like I will bring my own.

Rare xpcdoojk Posted December 28, 2018 #10 Share Posted December 28, 2018 So tonic water, sans sugar solves leg cramps? I thought it cured Malaria because of the Quinine. Can’t you just take quinine in some other form, that would be a lot simpler than drinking fizzy water with micro amounts of quinine? I can’t imagine anything else in the water would be helpful, but heck what do I know.... I drink it because it tastes good with Gin or Vodka... and some lime. jc
dpostman Posted December 28, 2018 #11 Share Posted December 28, 2018 If you are on a 12 night cruise, have the deluxe package and all you drink is Gin & Tonic and only have 5 per day, by the end of the cruise you will have consumed around 120 teaspoons (nearly 2 pounds) of sugar from drinks alone. I certainly consider that LOTS and think it is very reasonable to seek out sugar free options. dp
robandana Posted December 28, 2018 #12 Share Posted December 28, 2018 We recently sailed on the Rhapsody of the Seas and they had Slimline Tonic, it comes in small glass bottles. Its like a diet tonic with no sugar, we found it to be much better than the on tap tonic they have on the ships. We also had regular Schweppes Tonic in the D Lounge and the Concierge Lounge. Not sure if they have this on the Oasis.
Rare little britain Posted December 28, 2018 #13 Share Posted December 28, 2018 Navigator also had slimline tonic in little glass bottle in the DL....
wendychloecruiser Posted December 28, 2018 #14 Share Posted December 28, 2018 I have found that sometimes you have to ask the correct question...”Which Bar can I find diet tonic or Slimline tonic?” VERY often you will get an answer that contradicts “no.”
Yorkshire Voyagers Posted December 28, 2018 #15 Share Posted December 28, 2018 We always find the ship has diet or slimline tonic when in Europe but have never found it on Royal sailing from the US ports. Celebrity always has it when we sail from San Juan and yet the Royal ship using the same home port doesn’t
