As someone else has said, no bar behind OVC, on reflection. The sunset bar is different too. It's not against the wall, its round, and seems to be larger to compensate for no bar beneath it. (see below)

 

The slushie bar on the Equinox is called 'Slush' and I believe it isn't on the reflection.

Thanks for the picture, it looks lovely.

 

Ooh, not happy about the slushees, are they available at the pool bar, or just more conventional frozen drinks like daiquiris, margaritas, etc?

 

The Nov 29 is the sailing that we are on, 11 long months

Would love to know if a bar server named "Taz" is on the ship as he was so nice to us when we were on Silhouette.  He was always at the Martini Bar.

Thanks for taking the photo and it was nice to meet you.  Based on the name tags that were handed out, there were about 173 people that showed up for one or both of the CC parties. Compared to 213 registrants, that's a pretty nice turnout (81%).

I've seen several passengers with holes punched in their SeaPass card (like cruise stitch). 

 

While getting change today at Guest Relations, I asked if they punched holes in the new RFID cards. He said that they did and offered to punch mine (i declined because I don't need it). 

 

I asked if the hole renders the key useless. He said that it does some times and that they have to check it to see that it still works before giving the key back to the passenger.

I'm glad to hear this. Hopefully they can punch a hole in my card when I am on the Reflection next month.

I usually wait until the second week to play blackjack at the casino. Today I strolled through there just to check things out because the casino seemed to be busier than normal. 

 

I was a bit surprised at what I saw. It appears most of the tables now pay out a natural blackjack at 6:5 instead of the traditional 3:2 (a trend that I've seen in  Las Vegas). Tonight there was:

 

1. A single deck game, $5 min, 6:5 for a natural blackjack. Two players at the table. 

 

2. A multiple deck game, $5 min, 6:5 payout. There were two tables and they were full. 

 

3. A multiple deck game, $15 min, 6:5. No players

 

4. A multiple deck game $50 min, 3:2. No players

 

5. A multiple deck game, $100 min, 3:2. No players. 

 

So you now have to play at the $50 tables or higher to get the traditional 3:2 payout for a natural (2 card) blackjack. 😔

Alternatively, you can put your RFID SeaPass card in a clear plastic sleeve and attach the sleeve (with a hole in the sleeve) to a lanyard. 

 

Your key can remain in the sleeve when you use it to unlock your door (i tried it).

 

I'm not sure how it works for purchases though. I think your folio number is manually typed in when a purchase is made, but I could be wrong about that.

My husband enjoys playing blackjack when we cruise but has pretty much stopped playing on Celebrity because of this change.

It'll be interesting to see if they change back to 3:2 on the $5 and $15  tables after a few nights of no players with the 6:5 .

A very popular tour with Cruise Critic members, Calabaza is running 3 boats today. We are on the Calabaza. Her newer sister (Calabaza II) is in the photo. 

 

The 3rd boat (below) is rented for high demand days like today.
