Alaska transfer

Recommended Posts

I just booked an Alaska itinerary that goes from Seward to Vancouver. We aren’t taking advantage of the free flights and I saw a line item charge for the transfer from Anchorage to Seward. When I was doing research on the Anchorage-Seward train, I found two train classes:  goldstar and adventurer.  When I spoke with my SS agent, he told me their train is chartered and he was not aware of the two separate classes.  Only SS guests are on the train. Is anyone familiar with this transfer?  I’m trying to figure out if we are better with the SS train transfer or with the goldstar train service.

Thank you

Yes taken this train from the airport to the ship. Reps will be on board with light refreshments. A rep will be checking you in so you don't have go the desk on the ship when you get there. Train is a sight seeing train and it is pleasurable ride. Luggage goes by truck and gets there first and is placed in your room. Only down side is you get to the ship with everybody else and have to wait in line to get aboard.

Thank you for the response.  Do we go to the train station for the transfer?

Your finial documents will explain how to arrange to board the train. If you have bought a SS airfare they will take you to the train. If you make your own air arrangements it will explain how to connect to the transfer train.
